Review of Tesco Value Cheesy Pasty.
In a household with two meat eaters and one vegetarian (me!) it is sometimes difficult to find meals that we can all eat. The meat eaters are happy to have a few vegetarian meals each week but on their meat eating nights, I sometimes feel that I am running a cafe, having to cook separate dishes! I'm not fond of processed foods, but when I saw these Tesco Value Cheesy pasties at only 29p, I couldn't resist trying them, thinking that they would make a quick meal for me when the others eat meat.
The Packaging
The 150g pasty is presented in a clear plastic packet. The Tesco log appears on the front of the wrapper in red and white writing. There is a basic nutritional chart at the bottom, close to the best before date. The reverse of the packaging carries the cooking instructions, oven cook for 18 ...
Advantages: Robust and resilient, looks good Disadvantages: Not waterproof (not expected to be, but would have been nice!)
I\'ve been using one of these for about 12 months now. Mines the cream/black/maroon version.
As with all Crumpler bags, it's very sturdy and well made, and lots of practical features but be aware, this bag is most definitely NOT waterproof like most of their other bags, due to the neoprene panels (the main part of the bag is made from their water resistant ChickenTex fabric). Not a problem, just something to be aware of.
Also, as with all Crumpler bags, it is very stylish and whilst it's maybe a bit more expensive than other brands, you DO seem to get what you pay for with their products. This little bag has had some serious abuse and apart from being a bit mucky (it's cream in colour - what do you expect), it's in great condition.
