The North Korean Government seals off the area, claiming the mysteries of the asteroid for themselves. The asteroid suddenly bursts open, revealing a colossal, 2km high alien ship. The ship generates an immense force sphere, freezing a vast portion of the island and drastically altering the global weather system. The invasion of Earth has begun.
You play as Jake Dunn, 'Nomad' in 2020. You are part of the US Delta Force (Special Operations) and the game starts with a parachute jump from a large plane. Anyway, you're there because some archaeologists found something a bit weird; then they went missing and now the North Korean's are quarantining the area. Your fellow Delta Force team members get kidnapped by large, metallic octopus creatures. You then come to a huge mountain which is the alien mothership. Finally you get up close and personal with the aliens.
The ultra-cool nanosuits give you four great abilities to aid you. At one point you even come across North Koreans who strangely possess the suit and they really are quite hard to take down. Perhaps the coolest of its super powers is the invisibility power. For as long as your nanosuit energy store will allow you, you can blend into your surroundings like a chameleon. If you move about or fire a weapon, though, your energy stores will deplete faster (instantly in the case of firing a weapon). This creates a nicely balanced stealth feature. The other three abilities are strength, armour and speed. Armour should be on in any open fire-fight as it effectively supplies body armour with the extra energy stores. Strength allows you to jump higher and beat down enemies more effectively, while your super speed ability allows you to move very fast for short periods. All of the nanosuit's powers are finely balanced in a way that panders to the game's set-pieces, which have been specifically designed to complement the nanosuit perfectly. The freedom of movement of the vast levels allows you to interact in a number of ways with the objects, vehicles and environments. You can attack the game from different angles in different ways. Should you attack with all guns blazing or sneak past with invisibility.
The usual weapons are on offer: missile launchers, frag grenades, assault rifles, SMGs, shotguns, weird and heavy alien mini-guns etc. and you can utilize every vehicle that you come across such as tanks, boats and surface-to-air units. Anything that you can commander you can also destroy!
Some later levels seem to regress from the tactics and stealth required in earlier levels to a formulaic shooter where you deal with wave after wave of pesky aliens that keep bugging you. After the seventh level when you return to the ice terrain this becomes the case. Nevertheless it should take a comfortable 20-25 hours to complete on normal difficulty settings, which requires quite some patience.
Multiplayer seems to be an excellent stripped down version of online shooters, as 32 players can compete in 2 player modes: 'Instant Action' deathmatch and 'Power Struggle'. Power Struggle is a base orientated multiplayer on large maps with added objectives that need to be achieved for your team to win. This may be taking over military factories for the right to use vehicles to destroy the enemy base.
The game makes great work of DX10 software and so requires a beast of a machine to run it. In return you get visually stunning environments with realistic detailed foliage and bushes that sway in the wind. The tropical setting is beautiful and the water-effects should be looked out for as their second to none. The sound doesn't disappoint and provides the overlapping support for a great game that sadly has a poor ending.
These are the pc specs that I had to run the game:
Intel Quad Core 64Bit Q6600 9.6Ghz (4 Cores making 9.6) Graphics Card - ATI HD2400 1Gb Graphics Card Windows 98/2000/ME/XP/Vista Ram Memory - 2GB DDR2 Ram 16 bit Sound Card - 7.1 Channel Surround Sound 5 GB hard drive space

The best thing about crysis is that, gameplay is unique. What you do and how you do will have an effect on the further playing of the game. For example how you approach the enemy each time will have a different affect on you. The enemy AI won't react the same way in each time you encounter him.
The Surrounding you play in is very active. It's full of movement. You'll see leaves swing in the direction of the wind, shadows move according ... ...which I find awesome in Crysis is that, how it lets us choose our own path to the objective. You don't always have to take the road which you're given. You can go along side the shore, take the woods to get better cover and camouflage. This allows you to ambush your enemy and give them some kick ass!. So each time when you play the same scenario, You'll get a different experience. And you'll never know what you'll expect cuz you're taking different ...

Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter computer game developed by German company Crytek. It is an open-ended game with many ways to meet objectives, The main character, called Nomad, is capable of selecting various modes in his military prototype "Nano Muscle Suit." The suit is capable of four modes: armor, strength, speed, and cloak. Nearly everything is destroyable in the game e.g Trees, houses, vehicles, boats, and many many more (you ... ...skim the surface that is Crysis wonderful and amazing graphics.
Sound - 10/10 - Ah… The sound, close your eyes and imagine that you standing in a jungle, everything you hear down to the birds singing, the distant waves hitting the beech nearby and even the grass rustle as you walk through it. All this is available in the game and its truly amazing really helps to immerse you in the Crysis world.
Difficulty - 5/10 - I found the game quite easy there ...

Advantages: Stunning Graphics, Amazing Gameplay Disadvantages: Some seem to have problems running it
WOW this is the best game I have ever played! After reading that I needed a pc equivalent of a nuclear reactor to play this I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that my mid range PC copes with it brilliantly! (3.4Ghz Dual Core, 3GB ram, ATI 3850) The graphics are fantastic, I think mine are more or less set to medium, and it still looks amazing. And then there's the gameplay which is superb with a massive variety from huge tank battles to ... ...graphics and gameplay create an amazing atmosphere which is very immersive and lets you feel the tension. I have only played the single player campaign which is quite short but intense with a massive variety. If the multiplayer is anywhere near as good as single player then it will also be great. The only thing I would say is that it is not always entirely clear exactly what to do and I found myself looking up a guide on the internet several times. ...
Advantages: Superb graphics & physics, many options open to player Disadvantages: Last 1/3 of game is very lackluster
Crysis seems to be one of the most anticipated PC games in this part of the year. Does it live up to its hype? Well? Yes and No
I'll start off with a bit of back story.
You play as Nomad who is part of the US Delta force, they are a squad kitted out with futuristic nanosuits which give them all sorts of abilities (more on that later) Delta force are called in because a group of American archaeologists have been captured by the North Korean Army ... ...game, it installed fine but took a while. Once i clickd the shortcut i was forced to watch through about 4, un skippable, company logos (this can be fixed in the configs) Once i was at the game menu i adjusted the settings to suit my PC and i was off. The game began in the dropship and i was stunned, the graphics, even on medium, were amazing, the faces and animations were incredibly life like, yet the lip syncing seemed to be out a bit.
The first ...

Advantages: online play. You can play this game forever. Disadvantages: Very hard. Extremely hard to win online. requires vast ammounts of patience
1. first off this game is very very old. But is very popular in Asia. It is my favorite game of all time.
2. second the graphics are horrible but for the time they were created i find these graphics amazing! sometimes i prefer bad graphics easy to run and no problems with running the game. it is not like crysis where it takes a 700 dollar computer to run. you can run this game on a rock if you wanted to.
3. sound not so good but everyone's favorite unit to kill is the marine just because of how awesome it sounds to kill about 50 of them.
4. Difficult game. very difficult to play online and single player. This game was made before warcraft 3. so game play and other functions used to maximize micro are not in the game. so little harder to do simpler functions
5. Overall great game very hard but just takes practice. Many people have played ...
Advantages: Great gameplay, action, guns, maps, online, can be bought for £2.00 these days Disadvantages: players online who manage to cheat, when you constantly die
the gameplay you play quake for, everyone knows that, if you want to have a beautiful FPS game then go get crysis (and a new computer capable of playing it) but if you want over the top action, gore, fights and guns, come play Quake !
So quake 3, delivers thrills, spills (spills of blood and ammo mainly) and much needed kills all in one. Its great for lovers of action and online play, so buy it today !
My Summary: An excellent online game thats very enjoyable to play ...
Advantages: Fantastic gameplay and graphics Disadvantages: Limited weapons
the enemy more efficiently. You have to fight your way through the storyline with enemies that become progressivly harder and more elaborate.
Grapically, the PC version far surpasses the Xbox 360 version as you would expect; the colours, detail and precision are far greater and as a result you become more immersed in the game. I run this game on a Q6600 cpu, 4GB ram and an 8800GTX KO edition, which handles the game beautifully. I don't believe this game uses up masses of resources compared to a game such as Crysis, so I think that most recent computers would be able to run this game just fine.
The online play is great, and as this is a Window's Live game, you can gain achievements and rewards as you play, something which PC games have lacked compared with their console counterparts.
The only small problem I have is the lack of variety ...
