Advantages: Easy booting, less crashes, much faster and yes user friendly Disadvantages: Dual boot becomes a problem
all the OS is very software friendly.
Even system crashes is far less frequent with Windows XP Professional. It has overcome the unfriendly interface woes of Windows2000.
The best of it is that disk partitioning and formatting the HD has become much more easier with XP which means in case your OS gives you problem, even a reasonably eloquent user can reload or even format or partition the hard disk just by reading the massages properly, in fact the option for formatting individual drives are there. The backup option is great. Create a back up of your files and remove all the partitions then format and recreate your disk partitions to your requirements.
I think it's one of the safest OS when you're online with continuos software and security updates from Microsoft, it's avisable to upgrade the ie to ie 8 for best surfing experince. To my ...
Advantages: Great new feel, built in firewall, virus protection & automatic updates Disadvantages: Slow at times, hackers target it
Microsoft's new operating system, Windows XP, has many new features from previous operating systems, including 98, 2000 (ME) and 95. It has a new design, added security and can support more software than ever before.
--- Design ---
As many users will know, Windows XP has a new look. I prefer this look, and even if it may seem unusual to you at first, you soon adapt to the rounded edges, colour schemes and layout of the system.
--- Security ---
With the addition of Service Pack 2 (SP2), there are now many features which protect you from viruses and hackers, including Windows Firewall, Virus Protection and Automatic Updates, which make sure that you are ready for any hacks and viruses.
Unfortunately, hackers do now target Windows XP, so it is ideal to buy an anti-virus program, such as Norton Antivirus, and get a firewall, such ...
Advantages: Great Spreadsheet, very helpful! Disadvantages: Costs
2000), it's one of those programs that doesn't change a great deal. Sure, each new edition brings a few new features, but these are often as much cosmetic as they are useful, so don't panic if you're still using Excel 97. By far the best way to get Excel is when buying a new PC as part of the Office 2000 pack, the OEM version should add £100 (although I may be wrong) on to the price of your PC, whereas you may pay that just for a single copy of Excel normally (although again I don't have exact figures). One point worth considering is that if you aren't going to use a lot of the advanced features that Excel offers, is that you may be better off with Microsoft Works, which comes with a Spreadsheet section that is basically a less powerful version of Excel. Buying Works over Office will save you a fairly sizeable proportion of the price ...

Manufacturer's product description
Crystal Ball 2000 is an easy-to-use simulation program that helps you analyze the risks and uncertainties associated with your Microsoft Excel spreadsheet models. Most Excel users attempt to understand risk by creating best, worst, and most likely case versions of the same model. However, these scenarios only predict the range of outcomes, not the probability that they will occur. Crystal Ball adds probability and automates the 'what-if' process for you.Because Crystal Ball is an add-in, you don't have to leave Excel to do forecasting and risk analysis. Plus, Crystal Ball will work with your already existing models, so you don't have to recreate all of your calculations from scratch. As a fully integrated Excel add-in program with its own toolbar and menus, Crystal Ball picks up where spreadsheets end by letting you perform Monte Carlo analysis (a technique for simulating real-world situations involving elements of uncertainty). You define a range for each uncertain value in your spreadsheet, and Crystal Ball uses this information to quickly perform thousands of simulations.
