Another hair styler, but this one's great!!
Review of Morphy Richards 22044 by pinkelephantuk

Advantages: Cheap, good hair curler, rotating cable - no tangled cable!!
Disadvantages: None really

These are curling tongs from Morphy Richards. I bought them about 2 months ago. I must say, that I am impressed with them!! I used them to put nice curls in my hair. The tongs were ridiculously cheap - under £5 in Asda! (Because talking of hair styling equipment, I've noticed hair-straighteners which cost £30 - £60!!, soo expensive!!). These heated tongs were an impulse buy, which have been fabulous. Benefits >>Very affordable! >>Cable can rotate ...
...cable. This is such a good safety feature, and makes handling the tongs so much easier. You can worry about how your hairstyle is turning out, rather than manoeuvring the appliance properly!! >>Effective at making good curls in my hair I've got thick shoulder length hair. Thick hair can be hard to style sometimes, but these heated tongs have been very effective. They come with a resting rack, which is in the middle of the tongs, which can be pushed ... Read review

Babyliss 2290AU
Review of Babyliss 2290AU DROP by Laura893

Advantages: Good for different hair types, good value for money
Disadvantages: Can give hair a dry frizzy look

...home, so I borrowed the Babyliss 2290AU off a friend. I must admit, I do have a bit of a 'love hate' relationship with them. I have medium length hair which is thick, so I liked the way they have a long ceramic coated barrel and I also liked the defined spiral guide on the barrel, which made curling easier. The curling tongs looks good, are simple to use and have ten different settings, making it suitable for most hair types (and good for thick hair). ...
...my hair, and it is mains operated, so no having to worry about replace energy cells. Although it has some good features and is a good idea, I found there were a few problems with these curlers. I firstly found that they gave my hair an unwanted frizzy look (although that can be sorted with a bit of hairspray). I also found that after I used them, my hair felt dry and looked a bit dull. Overall, I think these are good for their price, but if you could ... Read review

Review according to hair types......
Review of Angel Curls - Carmen Girls by April_Angel

Advantages: Gives nice bouncy angel curls-like it's meant to
Disadvantages: Doesn;t have the power to work on all hair types

Carmen Girls Angel Curls, is a pink and girly hair curler directed at the teenage market. The design being so girly, will make any preteen/mid-teenage girl very happy; it's ideal for a present because it's good value for money aswell. It's RRP is £19.99, but it can be bought off the highstreet at £14.00, and I've evwen seen an Ebay listing for it for £4.00! The curls created are angel curls - ringlets. But aside from being a very decorative and ...
...too good for curling all hair types. Performance wise, the curler doesn't reach salon quality high heats, but then it's not priced at that level either. And even though the heat doesn't go that high, there is a steam function available to help set the curl. From my experience, having thick, long and straight hair, the curler simply did not create curls which could last, not even with superhold hairspray. Before I even finished curling my whole ... CURLS FIT FOR AN ANGEL.
Review of Carmengirls.com Angel Curls 11509 Carmengirls by Morning_Becomes_Electra

Advantages: Brilliant curls for under £15.00.
Disadvantages: Take 10 minutes to heat up.

~ CARMENGIRLS.COM ANGEL CURLS 11509 ~ Along with my GHD's, and various other electrical hair equipment I also have CarmenGirl Angel Curls for those times that I want a real curl or ringlet effect to my hair. My GHD's are great for giving a flicked effect, and light curl, but I find Angel Curls perfect for a real twist or tight curl.- Angel Curls came boxed in a girly looking black and pink flowered box. It looks to me from the presentation that this ...
...and flowery. There is also a picture of a young teenage girl upon the box displaying loose ringlets upon her head. ~ THE ANGEL CURLS ~ Angel Tongs are corded stylers, with a Maximum wattage of 25. The actual tongs are long and fairly bulky, but I actually quite like that about them. At fourteen inches long I find them very adequate for actually gripping the hair and controlling the twist and curl. My hair is pretty long, about half way down my ... Read review

Most effective curling tong I've ever tried
Review of Angel Curls - Carmen Girls by xx-rowan-xx

Advantages: Really easy to use, almost impossible to burn yourself
Disadvantages: Have to do a small amount of hair at a time and can leave kinks.

I bought these curling tongs about a year ago in a sale for about £10, and although I haven't had the time to use them very regularly, my experience of them has been very good. Although I now find the design a bit too pink and little-girly, they work better than the vidal sassoon curling tong i had before them. It is difficult to do the back of your head without getting kinks so I tend to get someone else to do that if I have the time, but that goes ...
...point of view is that the barrel has a plastic spiral around it; this especially benefits people like me as I am notoriously good at burning my head. However, the protective heatproof plastic spiral and casing mean that unless you are either a complete idiot or just very unlucky it is impossible to burn yourself. The method of use is very simple, all you have to do is clip a section of hair using the (heatproof!) clip and then wind it round the ... Read review
