Another hair styler, but this one's great!!
Review of Morphy Richards 22044 by
pinkelephantuk
Advantages: Cheap, good hair curler, rotating cable - no tangled cable!!
Disadvantages: None really
These are curling tongs from Morphy Richards. I bought them about 2 months ago. I must say, that I am impressed with them!! I used them to put nice curls in my hair. The tongs were ridiculously cheap - under £5 in Asda! (Because talking of hair styling equipment, I've noticed hair-straighteners which cost £30 - £60!!, soo expensive!!). These heated tongs were an impulse buy, which have been fabulous.
Benefits
>>Very affordable!
>>Cable can rotate ... ...cable. This is such a good safety feature, and makes handling the tongs so much easier. You can worry about how your hairstyle is turning out, rather than manoeuvring the appliance properly!!
>>Effective at making good curls in my hair
I've got thick shoulder length hair. Thick hair can be hard to style sometimes, but these heated tongs have been very effective. They come with a resting rack, which is in the middle of the tongs, which can be pushed ...

Curly girlies!
Review of Angel Curls - Carmen Girls by
vericheri
Advantages: Makes really massive curls
Disadvantages: Doesn't work as well on some hair types
I got this product for christmas a few years ago and have hardly used it purely because I didn't particularly like the look as it made my hair too curly. Also, one side of my hair curled more than the other and it looked strange. On the otherhand, it didn't work very well with my sister and her hair hardly curled. I think this may be down to the type of hair you have. The product itself however is very good and easy to use. You unscrew the top and ... ...on and turn the curler on. After a few minutes it will work and you twist a strand of your hair round, clip it and then press the button at the top, after a little while you can unclip your hair to reveal a curl! Sometimes though I did burn the top of my hair a bit. I would recomend this to anyone who wants lovely curls and doesn't mind if their really curly! ...

Perfect Curls from Toni & Guy
Review of Toni And Guy 3080560 by
charlotte_thomas
Advantages: Interchangable attatchments
Disadvantages: one temperature setting
The Toni & Guy 3080560 styler is a multi purpose product that costs around £24.99. It comes in a clear plastic case with a carry handle. The styler is silver with toni & guy printed on the handle in red and the red on/off switch is located on the handle also. The styler comes with three attatchments; a thin curling tong attatchment with a red plastic round brush that slides over the top, a fatter curling tong attatchment for creating waves and looser ... ...an issue but if you were to use it on a daily basis they might be more of a problem. It is great value for money too! Toni & Guy are a respected and trusted haircare brand and this styler really does live up to their good name. ...

Babyliss 2290AU
Review of Babyliss 2290AU DROP by
Laura893
Advantages: Good for different hair types, good value for money
Disadvantages: Can give hair a dry frizzy look
...home, so I borrowed the Babyliss 2290AU off a friend. I must admit, I do have a bit of a 'love hate' relationship with them. I have medium length hair which is thick, so I liked the way they have a long ceramic coated barrel and I also liked the defined spiral guide on the barrel, which made curling easier. The curling tongs looks good, are simple to use and have ten different settings, making it suitable for most hair types (and good for thick hair). ... ...my hair, and it is mains operated, so no having to worry about replace energy cells. Although it has some good features and is a good idea, I found there were a few problems with these curlers. I firstly found that they gave my hair an unwanted frizzy look (although that can be sorted with a bit of hairspray). I also found that after I used them, my hair felt dry and looked a bit dull. Overall, I think these are good for their price, but if you could ...

Review according to hair types......
Review of Angel Curls - Carmen Girls by
April_Angel
Advantages: Gives nice bouncy angel curls-like it's meant to
Disadvantages: Doesn;t have the power to work on all hair types
Carmen Girls Angel Curls, is a pink and girly hair curler directed at the teenage market.
The design being so girly, will make any preteen/mid-teenage girl very happy; it's ideal for a present because it's good value for money aswell.
It's RRP is £19.99, but it can be bought off the highstreet at £14.00, and I've evwen seen an Ebay listing for it for £4.00!
The curls created are angel curls - ringlets.
But aside from being a very decorative and ... ...too good for curling all hair types.
Performance wise, the curler doesn't reach salon quality high heats, but then it's not priced at that level either. And even though the heat doesn't go that high, there is a steam function available to help set the curl.
From my experience, having thick, long and straight hair, the curler simply did not create curls which could last, not even with superhold hairspray. Before I even finished curling my whole ...
