The smartphone: It's just about being smart with how we use it

Advantages: Exciting technology. All the information you could want. The ability to save us time.
Disadvantages: The addictive aspect and the endless sites and apps geared at timewasting

They are not that smart - and they make their users stupid

Advantages: A portable phone is sometimes useful as is the ocassional web look up
Disadvantages: Oh so many - not least the end of civilisation as we know it
