whatever happens - don't have a mechanical failure early on
Advantages If I had broken the cooker myself, it would have been covered
Disadvantages It doesn't apply in circumstances that the paperwork led me to believe it would.

whatever happens - don't... |
|---|
I bought a new cooker, which was delivered and fitted. Two days later it broke. 'That's OK' I thought - I have bought the shiny 'whatever happens' insurance which guarantees somone will come and fix it within two days and luckily I am available to stay home in two days time.
The paperwork for the 'whatever happens' insurance says it covers mechanical breakdowns, and that an engineer will visit two working days after the call. I was put through to the engineers, to be told that the first available date was 6 days later (with an intervening weekend) and that the delay was because I was not eligible for the 2 day service because the cooker had broken within 28 days of purchase. So, 'whatever happens' doesn't cover everything and if you want to take advantage of the two day response time, tell them you broke it accidentally - don't be honest like I was. In my opinion, the paperwork is misleading, as is the name of the product. As I cannot be home on the day they offered me, I will not have a working oven for 10 days, five times longer than the time it worked. I appreciate that the breakdown is not the fault of the insuring organisation, but I would like to have the service that my receipt and paperwork say that I paid for.

Not in the correct section - This really should be under a Ciao Debate topic

Your review doesn't really give any information about the shop itself, this is more of a personal (if understandable) gripe about the mis-selling of their insurance product. I understand you must be frustrated but more details on product availability, range, prices and customer service would have been useful for a review about the shop.
