Advantages: A decent capacity, pretty cheap, vertically mounted Disadvantages: Not really all that portable, can be a bit noisy for a bedroom, it's grey!

So, do I recommend it? In a word - Yes! Whether it's for an extension of your current storage capabilities or as a back-up device it definitely does the job. If you're looking for a slim and sleek portable device then I can't recommend it, but as part of a stationary computer set-up then I definitely can.

...to 2 GB, so maybe this is a possibility for some people if they like the sound of the laptop, but need it to be faster. However I have never done this, so I can not really say how much it will increase the speed of the laptop, but I would think quite a lot.
Now it's a real shame about this laptops storage. It only has an 80GB hard drive, which is basically the bare minimum these days. However because this laptop has such great media features you would think that Compaq would have given it at least a little more hard drive capacity. So this is quite a bit of a let down.
The screen size of this laptop is 15.4 inch, this makes it a bit more portable, however it would have been nice to see this laptop with a 17 inch screen, scene as its meant to be for watching videos on and with only a 15.4 inch screen this isn't very good for it...

...I purchased a Micro Vault around 3 months ago so that I could transfer data between a numbers of different computers and have been very impressed with it. I have experienced no problems will saving files to the device and I use it on a day to day basis. I have found that it takes a little longer than usual to save and delete and this is outweighed with the pros of the device.
The Sony Micro Vault uses USB 2.0 and this particular model has a storage space of 64mb. I have found that this space is enough and I can transport all of the files that I would ever need on use one device. Granted, these files are only word documents.
Operating the device is so simple, just connect it via an USB port into the computer and you can access/save straight onto it as you would on your regular hard disk. It will come up as a portable device on its...
