Very impressed-Tesco customer service succeeded where Sony failed

Advantages: Very fast resolution, over and above what I was expecting.

Xbox 360 - What a mission.

Advantages: Its a great gaming device with good graphics and user friendly. It also retails at the right price
Disadvantages: Aftersale service is a long procedure and too many parties involved to get the coonsole repaired

...we would have to call microsoft overseas to receive a reference number then with that reference number xbox would liase with their company in South Africa to get the console rpaired or swopped out. this process could easily take up to 2 or 3 weeks depending on what the problem with the console was. Then it would be sent back to the store and the customer would be called to come and collect there consoles. the process has changed since then. The ...
...on calling the 1800 - microsoft number and by mabey look at havng a specific repair center for customers who can go directly to that center knowing that they better assisted by one on one customer service rather than voice to voice customer service. And it would just be a few minuted drive away. In closing: an easy fast sale over the counter verses a long uneeded telephone bill conversation to repair a console. What a very pushy telesales rude man!!!!

Advantages: None that I know of.
Disadvantages: RUDE, PUSHY,AGGRESSIVE. DOESN'T LISTEN AND DOESN'T TAKE A HINT!!!!

...just answered my mobile to the most rude and pushy sales person I have ever had the misfortune to speak to. I am usually very good in dealing with these types of people and manage to get them off the phone almost straightawy. NOT THIS ONE!!! He was so pushy and persistant,, and has ALL THE ANSWERS... A few times I tried to be rude to him to get him off the phone but he just wouldn't take a hint. He just WOULDN'T SHUT UP and let me get a word in ...

Samsung Customer Service

Advantages: There are no advantages
Disadvantages: time off from work to wait for repairmen, frustration with dealing with customer service

I purchased a samsung 46" lcd television in December at a price of $2,035.88.plus tax. Three weeks after i purchased I notices a line running diagnally across the top 1/3 of the screen. You could see it up close but not from the viewing area in the den. It went away after about a month. First week of May, the picture dies. Called Brandsmart USA and they said to call Samsung Customer Service. They gave me a number for their contract repair company--Eddie's ...

Next day Eddie's Electronics calls and says that Samsung will replace the TV because Samsung does not have the part in stock and Samsung would call the following day. NO CALL.
