I’m not a fan of antibacterial staff in the kitchen, bathroom and everywhere but since I have little kids I have to take care of their health. When we go out to do the shopping I don’t get them out of the pushchair so we don’t use the hand hygiene gel but after playing in the playground I always clean their hands with the antibacterial gel.
Package ------------- The Cuticura Hand Hygiene Gel comes in a transparent plastic bottle. Its size is perfect I can put it in my pocket or in my bag. I have a lot of them and I always have at least one with me. The bottle contains 100 ml transparent gel. The plastic bottle is recyclable and it doesn’t break if you let it fall (my sons tested it lol). It is available also in larger bottle of 250 ml.
The transparent bottle is very practical because you can see how much gel remained in it. The cap of it is medium blue. You can open it easily even with one hand. The top of the label on the bottle is light blue and gradually goes to transparent. The Cuticura logo is the same blue as the cap. There is written on it with blue letters Original Hand Hygiene Gel. This anti-bacterial gel kills 99.99% of the bacteria fast according to the label.
Price and where to buy ----------------------------- I think nowadays you can find these hand hygiene gels almost everywhere. I bought ours in Sainsbury’s for one pound when it was on offer. The larger one (250 ml) costs 2.73 pounds. It is worth buying more when you find them on offer.
The gel ----------- As I mentioned before the Cuticura gel is absolutely transparent. It is as thick as gels usually. It comes out of the bottle easily. You have use it on dry hands. There is no need for towels just put a small quantity on your hands and rub it on your palms, fingers and all over your hands until it gets dry again. It is not sticky. Its smell reminds me of cucumber.
Ingredients -------------- Just in case if you suffer from any kind of allergy. The ingredients are: Alcohol Denat., Aqua (Water), Propylene Glycol, Triclosan, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Parfum (Fragrance).
Warning ------------ It contains alcohol so you should store it below 40 C and keep away from children. It is flammable as well so keep it away from fire. Keep it away from your eyes, in case of contact rinse them thoroughly with water.
My opinion --------------- I think it is a very practical product. As I have little kids it is very convenient for us. I don’t travel often with public transport because I’m at home with my kids and the shop is 3 minutes away on foot. It is extremely important to use it after you travelled by public transport because you can avoid a lot of infections. I tried other hand hygiene gels as well, I don’t think there is big difference between them so I suggest buying the one you prefer. The Aloe vera one has more feminine smell.
