This DVD player is made by a German manufacturer called Cyberhome, who I had never heard of before, but I thought I would try the player anyway. I bought this player from WHSmith for £79.99 and I was going to buy the cheaper CH 400 DVD for £49.99 (without a front display, that's why its cheaper), but they were out of stock. So I took a gamble with my hard earned cash.
Thankfully I was impressed with the player and the stunning range of discs you ... ...quality is superb, despite the fact that it was so cheap.
DISC FORMATS
It is capable of playing more than just DVDs. With the ability to play VideoCDs (the forerunner to DVD, with VHS quality), JPEG images/MP3 music/MPEG video from CD-R & CD-RW discs you can make with your PC. Cyberhome CH-DVD 402
Cyberhome have reputation for producing solid, reliable cheap players with features only normally associated with high end kit and this one is no exception. This player was bought before Christmas for £80 and I am delighted with its performance and impressive list of features. It’s my first DVD player so I have nothing to compare it to but video and I have to say that watching video in comparison is like looking at TV through ... ...video settings, multi-angle support, multi-speed slow motion 2x, 4x, 8x 16x forwards and backwards and multi-speed searching. It is also adjustable for brightness, contrast and screen format, 4;3, 16:9 widescreen and audio settings which you need to set up to match your TV and audio gear. Once all these are set you don’t need to bother with them again, unless you buy that huge TV you’ve been promising yourself later on. The picture quality is excellent ...
