REPUBLIC - A Very similiar shop, stocking Jeans and T shirts etc, also of similiar prices, worth a look!
TOPMAN - Similiar products, jeans and tops but slightly more upmarket and therefore more expensive. Also probably a bit trendier and more at the forefront of fashion, you'll find they're always getting new ranges and changing existing ranges.
NEXT - More ... ...£40. Also after visiting D2 I found many of the next stocks to be slightly bland, plain tops and basic Jeans etc. Probably more aimed at the older customers, rather than the younger, trendier teenagers.
RIVER ISLAND - Similiar ranges to topman, with quite original modern designs, but again more expensive than D2 Jeans. A nice option if you've got the money to spend.

I visited the White Rose Centre a few weeks back for a good old shop. I tend to go once every couple of months and spend a hundred or so on new clothes. I must admit though, I usually stick to Topman, and one might call me conservative in that sense, as I usually stick to the shops that I know. But anyway, a browse couldn't harm could it?.. so in I went.
----------- Clothes -----------
The shop specialises in Jeans, hence the name, however there was actually a much wider stock of clothes in the shop. They had T Shirts, hoodies, cardigans and even other types of trousers, like cords. The designs were really modern and stylish, similiar to those of highstreet names like Topman. They lacked going out shirts, so to speak, its more casual every day clothes than night out clothes. Their collection of jeans was most impressive though, blue, indigo, brown, black, white, boot leg, stonewashed, mottled, worn...you name it they'd have a pair to match you're style. I spent ages trying to get it down to a couple of pairs, although I could have bought the whole store!
--------- Prices ---------
I was very impressed with the prices on offer at the store. I got a couple of pairs of Jeans at just £19.99 per pair (very cheap, considering Topman charges up to £35 for a pair of standard jeans.) There were some more upmarket Jeans too, at around £30 each however these were on offer at 2 pairs for £50! I also got a nice long sleeve top at £14.99 (in comparison to Topman prices of about £22 per top) and a T shirt for a bargain £5. It seemed like one of those stores, where there was always some sort of sale on or offers, my freinds have since told me about their bargains from the store, one of them who got a pair of jeans for a fiver! Can't go wrong!
The shop design was similiar to most mens shops, although this was actually a mens and womens store so remained quite neutral in colour. Laminate wood flooring, and uniform beige/magnolia colour walls. Despite this, much of the walls were covered with pairs of Jeans, which I particular liked. Above all the standard rows of jeans were all the different styles of jeans fixed to the wall, which was excellent for visbility. You simply stood in the centre of the shop looked around for a pair you liked and went to it, and you'd find the shelf stacking that pair of jeans underneath. A simple idea, but very effective! The counter design was simple but contemporary, as were the changing rooms. The shop was generally very clean and attractive. The staff were all very freindly and endeavoured to help, very cheerful people!

NEXT - More expensive than D2 Jeans by far, some pairs of jeans in the region of £40.
BURTONS - Very similiar to next and attracting a slightly older age group than stores like D2 Jeans and Topman. Still, some nice clothes, some ranges slightly brand but certainly worth a look.
---------- Overall ----------
Overall, I was very impressed with D2 Jeans, I found the store light and airy and with a nice shop floor layout. The range was extensive, with plenty of choice, but more over the prices were incredibly cheap, you really can get some bargains! I came away with two pairs of jeans and two tops for £60, when I think what I could have got in topman for that...a pair of jeans and a T shirt. I'll certainly be shopping at D2 Jeans in the future, the only trouble is I'll have to travel to Leeds, if only there were more branches!
D2 has recently taken over the old Fosters Mens Store in our town, and what a difference it is. For a start, they have got men and womens fashion. And they are a lot funkier than the old Fosters. The shop outlay is nicer, more modern and inviting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And as for the clothes: good quality clothes at bargain prices. You will find all the famous brands like Kangol and Ben Shearman. They have got Wrangler Jeans for ... ...card in a range of other stores, like Currys, JJB-Sports and Burtons.
Overall I must say, shopping in D2 is a pleasure, a shop that should be in every High Street and a good opportunity for the lads to browse as well as a nice shopping place for the girls. ...

Advantages: up to date with trends Disadvantages: very expensive
...it. I do agree that D2 has a wide range of clothing items and is very up to date with the trends of the time, it can cater for pretty much anybodys needs. But so does The Officers Club, and at a much cheaper price. I personally think that D2 is a very expensive store that can only be afforded by the richer or more spoilt people f the youngster age. For example i found a shirt there whilst looking for a new going out shirt that costed around £50. ... ...shirt nearly every week from D2 (his most expensive shirt costing a staggering £90!). But i would too, wouldnt you? But only if i had money to burn like him. I feel he is not in control of his money spending actions.
For christmas i recieved a few jackets and a shirt from D2 from my dad and brother. The shirt buttons nearly all fell off! The jackets have all gone bobbly and the zips have broke! I couldnt believe it. All my christmas money went on ...
