A couple of weeks ago, I needed to buy a new interior 6-panel door. Not having access to a van, and not wanting to pay £10 per hour to hire one of B&Q's vans, I opted to buy online and have it delivered for £9.95. The site content is very extensive, but it isn't laid out particularly well ... Read review

Mirror Mirror on the wall - no thanks to B & Q

Advantages: Convenient , Vast array of products.
Disadvantages: Questionable Aftercare service , poor packaging on breakables

I visited www.diy.co.uk on 20 feb for the first time and was amazed at the huge range of products that were on offer. Like anyone else i had visited the diy warehouse and knew they sold sheds and light fittings etc etc but was suprised at the massive range of other products on the companies easy to use website. Having recently bought a new house i decided to have a look at the various homeware catagories and found some lovely rugs and a super stylish ...
...it was an absolute bargain and after spending five minutes setting up an account with B&Q online i was able to place an order , happy in the knowledge my new rugs and mirror would be on my door step in three days. How convenient. I received the items on the 23rd feb from Nightfreight. Advantages: not a bad site, staff are friendly
Disadvantages: far too laid back in correcting their own errors, and getting to me the goods that i have paid for

[UPDATE 22/05/2002] I'm currently being bombarded with newsletters from diy.com and I simply cannot get rid of them despite five e-mail requests and ...

home&garden project help

Advantages: advice from the experts
Disadvantages: not a fully comprehensive list.

This is the B&Q website. As well as being able to buy their products online they have a section devoted to projects such as tiling, laying a patio, garden decking and hanging wallpaper. I had never hung a sheet of waalpaer until i visited this site. As a result of following their advice i have a newly-decorated bathroom, and not a bad job too. They had loads of no nonsense advice and tips as well as what tools you need to get the job done. I might ...
