Numark CDX
Review of Numark CDX CD Player by
giles-y
Advantages: Turntable style CD player better than a turntable
Disadvantages: reliability
The Numark CDX is one of the best profesional CD players on the market. their reliability raise some questions but as an over all there great. its the closest you can get to a vinyl turntable
the CD player works and looks just like the numark TT direct drive turntable, with 2 start stop buttons and start up speed and break controls and programable pitch controls so you can set it up to feel like almost any turntable you have used before. you can ... ...or darkest of conditions
Numark are consantly updating the firmware for the CDX and have made it very easy for the home user to do this with a download available from their website. you burn it to cd pop it in the drive job done.
there are some known issuses with the early cdx.
CDs ejecting randomly or not playing, there is an easy fix for the DIYer but numark should have address this now. dont buy second hand unless the seller is a good friend ...

Great machine for pubs and clubs
Review of Numark CD Mix-2 CD Player by
valleyman70
Advantages: Really easy to use and great sound and never skips
Disadvantages: I can't think of any to be honest
A really good entry level machine for the pub or club DJ or a mobile DJ who wants to test the waters first off without going for expensive kit.
This is a dual CD player and mixer all in one all it needs to operate are an amp and speakers - and the ease of use is second to none.
Very very robust machine - no matter how vigorous your dancers are - or how bouncy the floor is - (and I have both) - this never EVER skips the cd.
Has functions for loop, ...

numark tt500
Review of Numark TT500 Turntable by
djsie2007
Advantages: super high torque
Disadvantages: none
had a pair of these now for about 4/5 years and they r still going strong.
they are a very sturdy and powerful turntable (i think the torque is somewhere around 5-6kgs) which i think is either two or three times that of the technics turntables, which makes it a lot easier when mixing your next record. i also like the fact that you can change the tone arm from the original s shaped arm to the straight arm which is great for scratching, there is also ...

Great decks, has served its purpose well!
Review of Numark TT1650 Turntable by
djspellbound
Advantages: Direct drive, cheap, fun, good for all levels of ability.
Disadvantages: New slipmats a must, New needles a must, deteriorate after extensive use.
...I owned a pair of numark 1520s before my 1650s and was very satisfied with them.
Many people find the 1650s difficult to keep pitch in long mixes, although i have never had a problem until now.
My mixes generally last anywhere between 1 and 3 mins. The only reason I am having problems now is because the decks are getting old as i bought them second hand.
One of the turntables' motor has gone, it no longer keeps pitch and it also starts up really ...

Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3 Review
Review of Pioneer CDJ1000 MK3 CD/MP3 Player by
benaldo3333
Advantages: Greater functionality and ease of use
Disadvantages: Price
...even in the dark, and Pioneer have made more effort to better the information display - its brightness and clarity are a major improvement on the MK2.
Cons
All in all, there are no cons in my opinion - this piece of equipment is the very best any dj has at his fingertips. Being critical, I would say that its price (£700) is expensive to beginners and intermediate dj's on a budget, but if you have the money to burn, this is a piece that you MUST ... ...in all, I love this Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3. I am currently saving for one, and to anybody doing the same, I would like to stress that it will be the best purchase you ever make within the dj world. If you have not tried one yet, and think that the price is too steep for what it does, go to any decent dj equipment store and ask for a demo - you will love them! If it is still over your budget, definately look into the CMX-3000, also by Pioneer. ...
