...or darkest of conditions Numark are consantly updating the firmware for the CDX and have made it very easy for the home user to do this with a download available from their website. you burn it to cd pop it in the drive job done. there are some known issuses with the early cdx. had a pair of these now for about 4/5 years and they r still going strong. they are a very sturdy and powerful turntable (i think the torque is somewhere around 5-6kgs) which i think is either two or three times that of the technics turntables, which makes it a lot easier when mixing your next record. i also like the fact that you can change the tone arm from the original s shaped arm to the straight arm which is great for scratching, there is also ... ...in all, I love this Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3. I am currently saving for one, and to anybody doing the same, I would like to stress that it will be the best purchase you ever make within the dj world. I have owned the Pioneer CMX-3000 for almost two years now. My dilemma was that I wanted CD decks, but couldn't afford to spend £1,400 on a pair of CDJ-1000MKIII but still wanted the build quality and functions of a Pioneer unit.
