Behringer DJX 700
Review of Behringer DJX700 Mixer by giles-y

Advantages: all inclucive fully packed top of the range mixer
Disadvantages: none

The Behringer DJX700 has to be the best value for money DJ mixer on the market. it is a slight copy of the more expencive Pioneer DJM600S. the DJX700 comes feature full and i cant think of any thing else that could have been squeezed in to it. you get a 5 channel mixer (3 phono, 4 line/cd and 1 mic channel) all with individual eq trim. high mid and low. you get dual beat counters assigned to what ever you put on the crossfader, a full range of ...
...the trim. then there are the effects. this mixer may not have the best effect parimiters but what you get is more than adequite for any DJ to tweak there mixes. there are 47 individual effects including reverbs, Echos, Delays and filters just to name a few and if thats not enough there is a seperate effects in/out channel on the back to add another effects unit. This mixer also has XPQ surround sound for greater sound seperation. there are 3 outputs ... Read review

A few minor design flaws but otherwise brillaint!
Review of Numark CM200 Mixer by Gokey

Advantages: Loads of different connectors. Tactile controls.
Disadvantages: Badly designed power connector causes popping sounds if it becomes dislodged

I got my Numark CM200 about a year ago and have since then used it at the best part of 100 gigs with next to no trouble whatsoever. Easy to set up, with a multitude of different connectors for each of its generous 5 channels the Numark CM200 is the best rack mounted mixer I have ever owned. I found all the buttons and controls tactile and easy to reach. The crossfader assign feature seems daunting and somewhat confusing to begin with but it does ...
...and scratching sounds. Fortunatly Numark offer a replacement crossfader for the best part of £20.00 which I purchased and have been using ever since. Dispite its few design flaws I find this to be a brillaint mixer and would highly reccomend it to any mobile or small club DJ. ... Read review

Excellent mixer with fantastic effects
Review of Numark DXM06 Mixer by giles-y

Advantages: small, easy to use, effects
Disadvantages: not the cheapest

the DXM06 is my favorite Numark mixer. In this nice little 24bit digital mixer, you get everything you would expect from a mixer. there are 2 phono inputs and 3 line/ cd inputs, 2 out puts master and record. Full high, mid, low trim and kill switches topped off with some very nice sound effects. you only get 6 effects but they are all perfect at there job, the 4 main effects are ECHO, Flanger, PHASER and Filter all controled with a slider and ... Xone:32 Review
Review of Allen & Heath Xone 32 Mixer by benaldo3333

Advantages: Sound quality, build
Disadvantages: Channel gains on the back of the unit, only 3 channels

...is readily available from the Allen & heath website. I bought this mixer about a year or so ago and it has been a faithful companion to me since It arrived on my doorstep. I bought it for £427 from djstore.com. This review is a comparison between the major sub-£500 mixers available on the market. Pro's The reputation that this mixer has gained throughout the dj world is a story in itself and it was this which drew me to it in the first place. ...
...has always baffled me why Allen & Heath decided to put the line gain buttons on the back of the unit. The Aux buttons are found in the usual gain spot on the mixer. But saying this, once you get used to the location of the gain buttons (which does not take very long), mixing is effortless. It is just odd why they decided on this location in the first place. Apart from this, you only get three channels on the Xone:32 - which is one less than the Pioneer ... Read review

Good Mixer for the money
Review of Kam KCM450 Mixer by djspellbound

Advantages: Effects, Kill switches, XLR input, Balanced outputs.
Disadvantages: Distortion with effects, Inaccurate EQs.

Not a bad mixer however the EQs are too sharp and not very accurate, the sound quality is not great and when i use the flanger it distorts the bass heavily, i have to counteract this by lowering the bass when in use. The effects sound alright but they are not as functional as i'd like. What I mean by this is you simply turn them on/off and they run a cycle as opposed to manual effects. The kill switches are very useful however i tend not to use ...
...I don't want to come reliant on them. BPM counters are ridiculous, I hate them. Reason 1: An experienced DJ will not use them. Reason 2: Beginners shouldn't pick up bad habits. Reason 3: They are not accurate. The optical Fader is great and will never need replacing! Having an XLR input on a mixer of this price range is great! ... Read review
