Great mixer for the price but not long lasting
Review of Behringer DJX700 Mixer by
x5sam
Advantages: lots of functions and features, cross fader, number of inputs, effects
Disadvantages: sound quality, BPM counters, durability, wiring,
Great mixer for learning on, with stacks of features to keep you occupied with. However the quality in terms of sound and durability is not so great so don't expect it to last as long as less full-featured rivals. I had a fair few problems with mine, but during the 1 year warranty the service was excellent and they even replaced it for me! The BPM counters are generally quite inaccurate and only go to 160 so do not work for drum and bass. Also the ...

Good Mixer for the money
Review of Kam KCM450 Mixer by
djspellbound
Advantages: Effects, Kill switches, XLR input, Balanced outputs.
Disadvantages: Distortion with effects, Inaccurate EQs.
Not a bad mixer however the EQs are too sharp and not very accurate, the sound quality is not great and when i use the flanger it distorts the bass heavily, i have to counteract this by lowering the bass when in use.
The effects sound alright but they are not as functional as i'd like. What I mean by this is you simply turn them on/off and they run a cycle as opposed to manual effects.
The kill switches are very useful however i tend not to use ... ...I don't want to come reliant on them.
BPM counters are ridiculous, I hate them.
Reason 1: An experienced DJ will not use them.
Reason 2: Beginners shouldn't pick up bad habits.
Reason 3: They are not accurate.
The optical Fader is great and will never need replacing!
Having an XLR input on a mixer of this price range is great! ...

Review of Denon DNX1500 Mixer by
andrewdj
Advantages: matrix system
Disadvantages: alot
overall the mixer is ok but butons are tepromental specialy the asign button on the sampler it responds when it feels like it somtimes mising a press when stutering or when trying to drop a sample on the beat it fails to start.efects button wears away very quickly like in 4 weeks of genaral use.also very high gains and also eq,s dont kill the sound 100%25 or maybey even as bad as forms leakage after only 4 weeks.nice looking good effect nice matrix ... ...longer than 4 weeks lol maybe im just unlucky and got 1 from a bad batch.
another bad thing envolves the echo loop when triming it down from a 4/1 or even a 8/1 down to 1/2 beat then trying to up itback to say 4/1 it just sticks at 1/2 what a mess this sounds.
4/10 ...

Xone:32 Review
Review of Allen & Heath Xone 32 Mixer by
benaldo3333
Advantages: Sound quality, build
Disadvantages: Channel gains on the back of the unit, only 3 channels
...is readily available from the Allen & heath website.
I bought this mixer about a year or so ago and it has been a faithful companion to me since It arrived on my doorstep. I bought it for £427 from djstore.com. This review is a comparison between the major sub-£500 mixers available on the market.
Pro's
The reputation that this mixer has gained throughout the dj world is a story in itself and it was this which drew me to it in the first place. ... ...has always baffled me why Allen & Heath decided to put the line gain buttons on the back of the unit. The Aux buttons are found in the usual gain spot on the mixer. But saying this, once you get used to the location of the gain buttons (which does not take very long), mixing is effortless. It is just odd why they decided on this location in the first place. Apart from this, you only get three channels on the Xone:32 - which is one less than the Pioneer ...

Allen & Heath Xone 62 Mixer
Review of Allen & Heath Xone 62 Mixer by
benaldo3333
Advantages: Sound quality, build
Disadvantages: None
...is readily available from the Allen & Heath website. This review is a comparison between the Xone:62 and other sub-£800 mixers.
Background
I have never owned a Xone:62, but have had extensive use of one through four years of djing at club nights. I currently own the Xone:32 which is its little brother if you like - instead of having six channels it only has three. Apart from this characteristic, they are pretty much identical. I am currently saving ... ...why clubs have begun installing Allen & Heath mixers into their systems.
The built in effects unit is also superb. The VCF filter is by far the best effect which has been included in any mixer over the past ten years. It makes the Pioneers built in effects unit look like a childs toy! The VCF filter is really easy to get used to, but very difficult to master which makes it challenging and a little different each time you use it.
Normally mixers' ...
