GEMINI's 676 3 Channel Mixer
Advantages: Good looking, many functions Disadvantages: cheap cross fader
This is one of Gemini's collection. This company are renound for the quality of their mixers. They can offer the best value for money on the market. This one has these features; high, mid, low, gain adjustment, kill switches, beat LED bars, diffferent out puts & inputs, unassignable cross fader, mic input & adjustment, talk over functuin, 12 second sampler with adjustments in pitch, volume etc (great for echo effects), headphone cue-ing adjustment, ... ...was the first mixer I purchased. It is simple to use, easy to set up (plug & play basically). The only problem I had was the cross fader wore out within 4 or so months. However the replacement one costs around £20. The buttons are on securely, they may need to be firmly pushed down upon after opening the box though inorder to make them secure (a couple of mine slipped off, but they went back on easily & havnt come off since. I have had no problems ...

Gemini 626 mixer
Advantages: Build, Rack Mountable, EQ Disadvantages: Not many features, faders rather stiff when first purchased new.
After purchasing this for some DJ work i was pleased with the quality of the build and the colour it came in! I was also pleased that it came with the rack mountable ears so it would fit directly into my old mixers place (if only that were true).
When i powered it up for the first time it seemed like any other mixer. I then lined all the EQ knobs to 0 and then fed a signal through to setup the EQ to my needs.
I istantly noticed that the music was ... ...played around with the EQ trying to set it up to a half decent sound. Failing that i had to go out and purchase an external EQ which seemed to do the job OK.
All in all i think this is only really for a bedroom DJ as the lack of features (it's basic) could put off any professional DJ. This is going to go on eBay when i have finished writing the review, i did think about using it for a backup - but really it isn't even up to that!!! ...

A cheap mixer which is secretly a hidden gem.
Advantages: Light but durable, excellent sound for price, good looker and does the job! Disadvantages: Will need an upgrade eventually.
...and was I impressed. The Behringer VMX 100 is just another one of the little beauty's that Behringer have been producing in recent times. Suited for beginners it produces excellent sound quality for something of it's price. I have had a lot of fun mixing with this piece of audio genius and would recommend it to beginners. A great buy, but once you start to realise your potential you will probably want a change. Some Behringer products such as this ...

Good, solid beginner mixer
Advantages: Low/Mid/High Gain & Kill + Phono/Line Switching Disadvantages: 2 channels, set-up can be challenging.
The DM-1002 MKII is a solid and good mixer for beginning DJ's. Everything from the stylish design, to the ease of use - is something that makes the mixer normally a join to use. Being able to output to master and record gives the mixer a helpful capability (with each output being able to be gain adjusted) The mixer has two switchable line in & phono inputs, master & record outputs and a helpful crossfader to fade between each channel helps the beginner ... ...controls. The ability to connect a 1/4 inch microphone (with volume and tone changers) as well as the ability to connect a 1/4 inch headphones (also with volume and tone changers) gives the DJ full flexabity connecting other equipment (such as mics and headphones you already have). I use this mixer to present live dance shows on an internet radio station, and have had very few issues with the general use of it. The only slight issue which I have ...

The best thing to happen to mixing since Technics made 1210s
Advantages: Bulletproof, Masses of features, Masses of fun, No carrying vinyl about Disadvantages: Need the software running for the sampler to work. Takes a while to learn the button combinations
This is well worth the extra money. I have been mixing for nearly 15 years and this mixer has completely revitalized mixing. The possibilities are endless and you just don't have enough hands to make this thing do what is possible. You can do some reeeally nice things like setting up loops in real time while you're mixing, layer infinite tracks over each other, set looooads of cue points on every track and then there's the FX! A few flaws (in my ...
