Before I bought this DVD player Id never really owned a DVD player before. I had however had and still do have a ps2 on which I used to play my DVDs. ...not a great fan of Bush as a manufacturer but after a few disasters with more expensive machines I decided to go for this model mainly because it was inexpensive (£25) and I thought, this will do until other manufacturers come up with more reliable machines. I received this as a xmas present, and it is very good. I can fit 6 Divx films onto a blank DVR and the quality is an improvement over playing them on the PC. Easy to use menus, and a nicely sized remote control. There is an 5.1 output on the back, as well as outputs for RCA connectors. I have it connected up to a Yamaha home cinema audio, and the sound of explosions etc is deafening when theyu go off unexpectedly. The complete list of formats ...

I bought one at B&Q, because it just seemed to be too good a bargain to pass up. Normal price was £19.68, and with the 15% discount that ay, it set me back £16.73 [current best prices are around £20 on the net] At that kind of money, it started calling out to me as a "must buy", after all, even if it turns out to be a complete turkey, I haven't lost much. ...joy of joys, it isn't a turkey! The main unit is slimline (about 2" high), a marked contrast to the excessively chunky appearance of some cheap players which just SCREAM "cheap". Not this one.
