JVC XVN55SL
Advantages: Excellent picture quality, zoom and other functions, good sound output Disadvantages: Non. If it recorded it would be the best ever..
...is packed with features, the JVC XV-N55SL would be worthy of consideration. We have had ours a couple of years now, but last year it got relegated to the dining room when we purchased our DVD recorder. It is hooked up to a portable TV we have in there but it does not really do justice to the JVC in all fairness. But that's the way things go. If we had room in our lounge under our TV on top of the DVD recorder it would still be there, because it is ... ...got the JVC home as a Christmas present to both of us (from both of us) a couple of Christmases ago, we were amazed how light and slim it was - no thicker than three CDs on top of each other (better make that 4 to be on the safe side), and no wider or deeper than our Sony video recorder that we placed it on top of. We were fascinated by the bright blue lighting effect on the front panel when we plugged it in and switched it on for the first time. ...

Excellent quality and even better value for money
Advantages: Multi-Regional straight from the box Disadvantages: None whatsoever
I've owned this DVD player for about 3 years now. After considering several other makes, I decided to buy this and I don't regret that decision one bit. The main thing for me, because I moved to Australia only a couple of months before I bought it, was would it play my English DVDs, given that Australia is a different region DVD to England. No worries here, it plays them with no problem, no having to get special discs to load up the information it ... ...them the minute it came out of the box. Extremely easy to install - just plug it in and away you go. The picture is clear and it automatically changes region according what DVD I put in it, I don't need to do a thing on that score. In fact, I half think that if I put a dinner plate in the tray it'd play that too! I paid the equvalent of about £40-£45 for it, so it was a real bargain and no mistake. It's so easy to operate it's almost unbelievable ...

Photos!? That's A DVD Player!
Advantages: Easy To Set Up/ Lots Of Features Disadvantages: None Really
...this DVD player, manufactured by JVC live up to its appearance? Well, yes it does. What makes this DVD player so special is the fact that the player actually accepts any kind of memory card available. The player allows you to view your pictures (ones you may have taken with a digital camera, and uploaded/saved on to discs), whatever the memory format you use may be.
The DVD player features SmartMedia, Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick ... ...you to access things such as listen to MP3 music on your TV, as well as view photographs and so on; regardless to what format your PC, MP3 player or digital camera uses to create such media.
The player arrives in a box, along with clear, easy to read and follow instructions. Simpler yet, is the actual set up, which is, well - simple! As mentioned before, the slim, classy looking player is rather attractive, and I hear you asking, how can it be with ...

Some Like: Coaxial Optical 5.1 channel Hookup for video output and audio output were very easy, well I am used to that stuff, but for those who aren't you get a very handy manual. It hooked up to my reciever very easily, allowing to use the great sound from the dvd player and ...
