I really like Samsung products. I own a samsung TV and so the natural choice for a DVD player was a Samsung model. When you buy a new HD TV it is natural to think you then need to buy a HD DVD player. These can cost you a pretty penny and the HD DVD's themselves will cost over £20 each. ...nice. If you have a samsung TV the DVD player looks awesome. They are both very similar in design with the stylish blue lights and sleek black design. It is also very easy to use. There arn't many buttons to use and requires minimal set-up. Also I have had mine 6 months now and have had no problems with it at all. ...and as they were both Sony they recognised each other straightaway. First test was a Lord of the Rings DVD. The picture quality is astounding with HD upscaling. Flawless skin tones, colours. ...Smartlink feature which is for Sony TVs is a good feature as it means you can hide one remote straight away. It also means if you switch one off the other switches off as well. The sound is good but is very dependent on the TV or if you use Surround Sound Etc... At the price level you would probably struggle to find a cheaper HD DVD player.
