This isn't actually just a dvd player, this model is vcr/dvd combi, but for some reason it isn't in that section. Anyway, I bought this model for something like £80 from Currys as I needed a cheap combi. We had never heard of the brand before so were a bit dubious, and the salesperson was trying harder than normal to get us to buy it which didn't help, but it is a good combi. It plays dvds and videos, and records tv onto video. Simple as that. ...
...set up and program, looks nice (it's silver) and it fits on a standard tv/video wall bracket. It's not fancy, but it doesn't try to be. It's cheap and easy to use and that's the main thing. I've had mine for at least a year now and have had no problems at all with it, which is more than I can say for my Goodmans tv!! Advantages: Well built, great picture quality clear menus. It's great in the car too.
Disadvantages: The sound is good for sub $250 player but could be louder from speakers.

I have recently bought one of these whilst visiting friends in Europe and was amazed by the quality for such a relatively inexpensive item ($240). The picture is fantastic and clear considering it's only a 7" screen and with widescreen format we know have our own in flight cinema. Disadvantages: had to do a bit of research to enable multi region ability

I've been looking for a divx player for a while now, and wanted one with multi region capability also. I eventually bought this dvd player from amazon.co.uk, as it was clearly labelled 'multi region'. Reading the reviews on amazon, some said it was multi region straight out of the box. ...is multi region, but my tv was not understanding the video format of the region 1 disc. A simple solution I discovered is simply to change the colour settings on the dvd menu (when there is no disc in it) to RGB. Having achieved this, I am now a very happy customer! ...One HDMI cable is so nice as well. DVDs look great on my 42"" 1080i LCD tv. But setup menu is REALLY slow to respond.
