I played a compact disc, and it sounded fine to me through my TV's nicam stereo speakers. I like the handset. It has straightforward buttons for navigation, rather than one of those fiddly joysticks I've tried elsewhere. Have had this dvd/video player in my house now for a couple of months. Its excellent does everything we wanted from a dvd player and video. Its easy to use. With straight forward instructions . Just pluged it in and got on with it. Buttons all well labled remote is easy to use withsome of the controls shared between dvd and video functions. Coped well even with my homemade movies as well as mp3 disks. Have yet to find anything that i can find fault ...

I've been looking for a divx player for a while now, and wanted one with multi region capability also. I eventually bought this dvd player from amazon.co.uk, as it was clearly labelled 'multi region'. Reading the reviews on amazon, some said it was multi region straight out of the box. ...is multi region, but my tv was not understanding the video format of the region 1 disc. A simple solution I discovered is simply to change the colour settings on the dvd menu (when there is no disc in it) to RGB. Having achieved this, I am now a very happy customer! ...One HDMI cable is so nice as well. DVDs look great on my 42"" 1080i LCD tv. But setup menu is REALLY slow to respond.
