I've been looking for a divx player for a while now, and wanted one with multi region capability also. I eventually bought this dvd player from amazon.co.uk, as it was clearly labelled 'multi region'. Reading the reviews on amazon, some said it was multi region straight out of the box. ...is multi region, but my tv was not understanding the video format of the region 1 disc. A simple solution I discovered is simply to change the colour settings on the dvd menu (when there is no disc in it) to RGB. Having achieved this, I am now a very happy customer! This is what to expect from such a well know company, with such a good reputation. I bought this a few months ago to use as a DVD player in my room, so that i didnt have to keep transporting the one from downstairs all the time. If you're like me and dont have the space to keep a big box next to the TV then this is great instead of a standard size one. ...wondeful. I have taken it round a few friends houses that don't have a DVD player so that we could watch some movies. It is easy to transport, all you need to do is unplug it from the TV and pop it in your pocket. Just joking it's not that small. Advantages: Excellent quality, looks good/ modern, can play most formats
Disadvantages: Cannot play PAL in colour eg some extreme sports DVD's or old movies

...also connect it to a Sony stack which would be like your hi-fi or something if you don't have a Sony hi-fi. It is a scart unit also which is good because you do not have to tune it in or anything. (Make sure your TV or other appliance has an AV scart socket, most modern equipment does so you shouldn't have to worry) There is no set up needed, just plug in and your away, the remote even comes with Sony batteries... you cant ask for much more than ...

DESIGN - I think it looks really good, plus it is very thin which means you can fit it into smaller spaces without having to deal with a huge DVD player with all the wires in the world.
