wow ....what amazing DVD player
Advantages: Its slim look, best working, easy to operate Disadvantages: none
Sony has already manufactured a lot of fantastic things and DVPNS355 is also one of them. It contain great qualities and very easy to operate.
ITS LOOK
It has a stylish sleek look. Its dark silver color is dashing. Not very heavy, I mean easy to move. Its dimensions are 42 x 4 x 24 cm. Some buttons are on the face of the player but mostly it is controlled by remote. The Disk tray move smoothly inside and outside.
... ...QUALITIES
IT has a lot of great qualities and features some of them are described below.
In the box there are 4 things DVD player, remote control + its batteries, booklet, and warranty card. All the installment procedure is available in the booklet. But I was worry about booklet that it is quiet complex not easy to understand. But the menu bar that appear on the screen is not complicated can easily be catched. Most of its functions ...

Got lots of DVD's get one of these
Advantages: Never have to move to get another DVD Disadvantages: Big, massive, large!
If you have a large DVD collection then one of these will be a excellent addition to your living or cinema rooms.
This DVD player takes 300+1 DVD's and allows them to be catalogued in the player, and assigned to a certain genere, this is fantastic when trying to organise 300 DVD's. The catalogue can then be searched through using the remote control and the disc required selected. Having 300 DVD's on demand does have a drawback in that to fit them ... ...and 12" wide.
The player has optical and coaxial output for linking up to your Dolby Digital or DTS amplifier. Another cool feature of the player is that it will play double sided DVD's with out having to take the disc out of the player allthough there is a delay whilst the disc is moved round the player about 5 seconds. The picture quality is excellent with the player offering composite, S-Video and RGB through Scart. The menu system is quite intuitive ...

A budget DVD player that is worth a look
Advantages: Excellent value for money, Disadvantages: doesn't play DIV X
...the first disc in the Sony was how sharp the picture was. I don't have a huge HD ready TV, just a 28" widescreen at the cheaper end of the market, but the picture looks very impressive. To me it looks like the contrast & sharpness are naturally set quite high but I must point out this is an assumption on my part. You can alter the picture quality using either 5 pre set options, or your own custom pre sets, altough there is only one available pre ... ...different DVD's. As far as I'm concerned this is no real problem. The sound quality is acceptable, not exceptional. I live in a flat, so cannot really have the sound too high without really annoying the neighbours. You can play through the TV, and again, there is a selection of different settings for virtual sorround settings to make your 2 speaker tv sound like it has surround sound. To be honest it's not that effective. I have a seperate Dolby ...

A great quality old-fashioned player.
Advantages: Good-looking, slim line player. Superb remote. Disadvantages: Limited functionality by today's standards.
This is a relatively early DVD player, which I bought in February 2001. It cost around £270 then, but its longevity has made it great value. It has been used frequently and has performed excellently, though recently it has had trouble reading some DVDs.
It's a very well designed piece of equipment. The silver finish looks great, the display is easy to read, the drawer's motion is fast and smooth and the fascia buttons are good to operate. These ... ...almost nothing you cannot do, making the remote the least essential one I know.
Perhaps strangely, the remote is actually one of the best I have ever seen. It is long and thin and perfect to hold and use. Button layout is faultless, far better than some Sharp and Toshiba remotes I have used. Every required button is present with the frequently used ones being the largest (play, stop, pause, enter and the direction buttons). The player's sensitivity ...
