i am happy to say i no longer use this product. I got this DVD recorder for only £190 which is a really good deal so i thought. I got it home and attempted to set it up but i just could not get on with it at all. i read and re read the instructions but i still could not do it. I got a freind to set it all up and then gave it a second try. I did manage to record on it twice but both times it recorded the wrong thing at the wrong time and most times ...

I thought perhaps it was the discs I was using but after playing them on my son's player there was no fault with the discs, which were high quality discs. If you're just looking for a simple DVD recorder to record programmes or films and watch them back later on, so you don't miss your favourite programmes, you can't really go wrong with this. It's not too high tech and it's easy to install, especially if you are using SCART leads. I recently aquired a Sony DVD recorder (RDR-GXD360). The Sony has freeview built in and a good reputation for audio visual quality.
