this has to be my best DVD player i have ever bought in my life! it has everything i need, massive 320 GB memory for all my recording needs i can record hours and hours of TV shows that i would hate to miss but i can record and a touch of a button. I love the way the DVD player is so simple to use and can be worked with ease (not like my grandmas DVD player, i'm going to smash that thing up ) all the buttons are clearly laid out and easy to see. ... ...in and it's so simple to get it started up and playing. the DVD player has a sleek design that looks good in any modern house. i would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like a good DVD player and is always out at work missing there favorite TV shows and would like to watch them another time. the DVD player is nearly £300 which could turn most people away but this is because it has a massive (320GB hard drive) which is why the price gets ...
Advantages: Extremely easy to use. Disadvantages: After couple of hours it become hot.
...anything.When press the Record button, Samsung DVD-HDD automatically available disc space and starts recording the selected program. When you finish recording, press the play button. The only bad thing is about endurance,I think.You will realize that it become rather hot at the bottom after you watch a DVD movie in couple of hours. I bought thid dvd recorder as a replacement for a panasonic one that stoped recording. I chose this model because of the ability to play and record dvd-ram disks which i have quite a lot of. This recorder was bought from a catalogue discount center and when i got it home i found that there was no picture and sound only. After a looking carfuly at the instruction manual i found that there was a button on the front marked p.scan and a symbol on the ... ...i could turn off this feature and resume normal viewing.
Maybe this i why the previous owners retuned the dvd recorder?
Th picture is good and freeview reception is good given that we live in a poor reception area.
Good features but this model does not have the time slip function of the more expensive dvd-ram machines. Also the dvd ram disks do not play on other dvd machines but will play on a PC.
Play quality is good even on adly scrached dvd's

Review of Samsung DVD-R 150
I bought this DVD recorder after returning my old one to the shop because it didn't work properly. I thought, well hoped that this one would be better. I was wrong.
Every time i put a disc in it the DVD recorder would freeze and not do anything for 10 minutes. When I tried to play CDs on it a message came up saying that there was an error and guess what... it would freeze again.
When it came to recording on it, the shop i bought it from were advertising ... ...but it doesn't, it just records on dvd-r. So this was no good when it came to trying to record a film that night, as I only had dvd+r. So I had to record it old school on a VCR. When I got some discs that would work and recorded something on it, Yet another disappointment. The picture quality was really bad. The picture was blurry and the the audio was out of sync.
The only good thing I found about this DVD recorder is that it looks quite stylish, ...

Advantages: simple and easy to use Disadvantages: none yet
Setting up was quick and easy.It skipped one channel on automatic channel search but had to use manual channel selection to find it. Played DVD's cleanly. Have not tried to record yet, but reading the manual it looks easy enough. The remote buttons are a bit small for my fingers, but easy to use. Looks good and streamline. Has all functions on front panel if you can't find the remote. User manual is realy easy to read and describes in a way that ...
