Dymo is pleased to introduce its new versatile Dymo 9000 that can be used as a stand-alone labelmaker or linked to your PC with the PC Connection Kit. Dymo 9000 quickly produces braced labels, price labels or industrial and retail signs. Connected to your PC this labelmaker makes the most of the flexibility of Windows-based Dymo Label software including databases, graphics and logos.
Advantages: Handy to use, great quality labels, never runs out of ink Disadvantages: Quite expensive, noisy, can't print colour
..., but prints twice as fast. Just 2 seconds per label. Cost £127.65 from Dymo website
After careful consideration, I opted for the Labelwriter 320. This was due to the fact that as we ordered it from PC World Business, we managed to get it for around £85.00, rather than Dymo's suggested price of £102.12. It was networkable, which meant that anyone on our network could use the printer. We felt that although we didn't want to dearer one, we also didn't want the cheapest one. The Labelwriter 320 was perfect for what we needed.
The Labelwriter was delivered the next day and duly set up by one of our IT guys. I know it didn't take very long...

Advantages: Produces a really good quality picture Disadvantages: Expensive and sometimes struggles in low light conditions
...The Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 is an excellent webcam that produces a really crisp and clear picture at the other end. The camera is fairly expensive but worth the cost.

The webcam
An instillation CD
Instruction manual
When your ready to install the software, dont do it from the CD, as several other reviews have commented on problems with the CD, instead go to the logitech website and download it from there. If you want all the features then dont plug the webcam in until the software tells you to.
The instruction manual is not really needed, as operation of the webcam is so easy.
The webcams image quality is really good in conversation with skype according to my friend in China. The picture...

Advantages: Prints quickly, easy to use, no ink, time saver Disadvantages: A little expensive to run for some
...The Dymo Labelwriter has been available in various models for a long time now. Many grumble at the limited use, plus the fact that you can use only Dymolabels with the device. Well, whilst this is true, you should really look at this device as a great time saving device, rather than money saving.
I picked up a Labelwriter 400 just recently. I had the next model up before, but sold it on for a very good price. Within a week of selling it, I wished I hadn't. Address and shipping labels vary in price and size, but the smaller address labels work out about 3p each. There is no ink or mess to worry about, as this is a thermal printer, so the printer makes the label react and reveal a fairly crisp 300dpi print. It is nice and fast and quiet in use.
So, imagine the scenario, perhaps like me you sell on ebay. I might only sell one thing a day...
