The Dymo 320 LabelWriter is sat to the right of my desk at work and it cost about £90.00. It has already saved this many times over in terms of saved time, money and reduced stress on staff!
For some reason our large digital printer/copier hates printing labels. After the third time of having to have the service engineer come out to remove a rogue label that had become glued to the drum ,our head of IT decided that it would be better to buy a label printer.
We decided to buy a Dymo 320 LabelWriter. It can be networked and so is shared by a number of people in our very busy publishing company, being shared by IT, sales, editorial and accounts.
It is fairly easy to load with paper rolls and automatically lines the role up at the start of using the roll. The labels are easy to pull off and it does a good, professional job ...
Advantages: Prints quickly, easy to use, no ink, time saver Disadvantages: A little expensive to run for some
The Dymo Labelwriter has been available in various models for a long time now. Many grumble at the limited use, plus the fact that you can use only Dymolabels with the device. Well, whilst this is true, you should really look at this device as a great time saving device, rather than money saving.
I picked up a Labelwriter 400 just recently. I had the next model up before, but sold it on for a very good price. Within a week of selling it, I wished I hadn't. Address and shipping labels vary in price and size, but the smaller address labels work out about 3p each. There is no ink or mess to worry about, as this is a thermal printer, so the printer makes the label react and reveal a fairly crisp 300dpi print. It is nice and fast and quiet in use.
So, imagine the scenario, perhaps like me you sell on ebay. I might only sell one thing a day ...
Advantages: Handy to use, great quality labels, never runs out of ink Disadvantages: Quite expensive, noisy, can't print colour
. It was here that I found there were actually 3 different models:

Labelwriter 320 - The most versatile label printer for any office. Prints labels up to 59 mm wide for envelopes, packages, file folders, disks, videotapes, name badges and much more. Improved and 30% faster print speed. Use on USB. Windows or Mac. Cost £102.12 from Dymo website.
Labelwriter 330 Turbo - For optimum speed and productivity, the LabelWriter 330 Turbo handles all the same labels as the LabelWriter 320, with the same print quality ...
LabelWriter Duo is truly a powerhouse in PC connected labeling. Imagine combining the features and functions of a LabelWriter 400 Turbo for fast printing of die-cut paper labels, with an electronic labelmaker that prints permanent and colorful plastic, nylon and polyester labels. It really is the best of both worlds in one neat machine. Prints die-cut labels up to 2 ½" in height and durable, colorful tape labels in ¼", ½" 3/8", ¾" and 1" sizes.
