David beckham was born on the 2nd of May 1975 in Leytonstone near London in England. His full name was David Robert Joseph Beckham and he is not short either at 183 centimeters or for you math matitions out there he is six feet long.
David beckham`s family
He has one wife called Victoria beckham, famously known as "posh spice," he also has three sons called Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. These are very bizarre names. Maybe he was trying to get more media attention I do not know. His wife Victoria was a part of the famous band called the spice girls .she was called posh spice. But it suddenly turned from many successful singing years to the band splitting up. The reformed the spice girls this year. David and Victoria got married on at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland on 4 July 1999, and her name changed to Victoria Beckham. David beckham made his best mate Gary Neville as the" best man" at the wedding. Brooklyn and Romeo's godfather is Elton John and godmother is Elizabeth Hurley. David and Victoria have stated that they would like to have more children, especially a daughter. In 1999, the Beckham`s purchased their most famous home in Hertfordshire. The mansion has been dubbed as the new Beckingham palace.
David beckham`s youth and professional clubs
David beck ham played for an amateur team in Essex until the bigger teams started turning there heads to him.
Manchester united approached him and signed a youth contract in 1991 to 1993. He was eventually given a professional first team contract in 1993 to 1994 season.
But he fell out of favor so Sir Alex Ferguson decided to loan him out to Preston north end in 1995 where he made five appearances and scored two goals and he also got some assists
He impressed Sir Alex so he decided to recall him from his loan spell and scored an impressive goal from the half way line which sailed over Neil Sullivan's head in the back of the net which sealed his first team place. he was a key role in united`s team in the league and fa cup wins from 1996 to 2003. in 1999 he was in the champions league team in the final when united won only there second ever European cup in there history and a historic treble winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, a unique feat in English football . In 2003 there was a famous incident involving him and Sir Alex Ferguson with the supposed "flying boot". After that affair he decided to leave the club.
Lots of big clubs were chasing him but in the end Spanish giants Real Madrid fc paid a whopping twenty five million pounds. At Real Madrid fc he never won any major tittles in his four long frustrating, but impressive seasons until the end of the 2006-2007 season when he won the la liga title on the last day of the la liga season.
Earlier in at that season there was a rumor going round that David beckham wanted to leave the club for another team. In the end Los Angeles galaxy snapped him up on a free transfer. David then signed a five year contract with them making him the highest paid soccer player in the mls league history. He eventually made his debut on the 21st of July 2007 against the English giants Chelsea fc in a friendly. He made his first start on the 15 of October 2007 in the Super Liga semi-final scoring his first goal ever Los Angeles galaxy goal and he notched up yet another assist. His first mls league start was on the 18 August 2007 against the mighty New York red bulls where he added two more assists to his name in front of a record crowd at the giant's stadium in the USA.
David beckham`s international career with England
David beckham made his first ever appearance or debut against Moldova in a World Cup qualifying match on the first of September 1996. in the fifa world cup qualifying he made an appearance in every single game for glen hoddle`s team .he was named in the England squad for France 98 but did not play in the first two games. In the third game he scored a lovely long range free kick against Colombia to drag England in the final sixteen. This is when it went all wrong for England and David against deadly rivals Argentina. England went one nil up when Michael Owen scored. It was all well until diago Simone fouled beckham. But he reacted by striking him on the calf. Later in the post match reaction he admitted to trying to get Beckham sent off by over-reacting to the kick and then, along with other members of his team, urging the referee to send him (beckham) off. After the match Glenn hoddle publicly criticized beckham for not doing or concentrating on his job .in the end England were eliminated by the dreadful penalty shoot out .
Suddenly Many supporters and journalists blamed him for England's elimination and he became the target of criticism and abuse, including the hanging of an effigy outside a London pub, and the Daily Mirror printing a dartboard with a picture of him centred on the bulls eye. Beckham also received death threats after the World Cup. This did not affect his confidence as he tried to ignore the England supporters.
England qualified for euro 2000 but David beckham was still receiving abuse and some stick after the world cup incident. in the euro 2000 game against Portugal he got two assists but the England fans started taunting him . But David beckham reacted ferociously by giving them the middle finger gesture to shut them up. The next day, after England 3-2 defeat to Portugal , many of the newspapers that had previously encouraged his vilification asked their readers to stop abusing him.
On the 15 of November 2000 Kevin keegan resigned as England manager .care taker manager peter Taylor made David beckham the national side captain. It took England quite a long time to appoint a new manager but they named the Swede Sven-Göran Eriksson as new manager. He kept David beckham as his English national team captain.
England started to play some good football in the fifa world cup qualifiers and really impressed in a five one win against the Germans with beckham once again playing an instremenl role in England's victory .England just needed a draw to qualify against Greece but England were losing 2-1 with five minits to go . But When Teddy Sheringham was fouled some eight yards outside the Greek penalty area, England was awarded a free-kick and he did what he always does. Most England fans will know what I am going to say next he curled it right round the wall past the despairing dive of the goal keeper .he won sports pearonaty of the year and was finished runner-up, to Luis Figo of Portugal, for the FIFA World Player of the Year award. As England qualified they got paired with there rivals Argentina and Sweden. Nigeria was also in the group. The game against Argentina was defiantly David beckham game. He scored the penalty which won the game getting his own back for what happened in 98. But they were knocked out against eventuall winners Brazil.
England qualified very easily for euro 2004 but this was not David's tournament. He had a penalty saved in England's 2-1 defeat against the French but England got to the last 16 against Portugal where they had to go all the way to the penalty shootout. It was David beckham to take the first penalty for England but he absolutely skied it. England's hopes soon followed .
Beckham became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in January 2005 and was involved in promoting London's successful bid for the 2012 Olympic Games.
In October 2005, Beckham's sending off against Austria made him the first ever England captain to be sent off and the first (and only) player to be sent off twice while playing for England. He captained England for the 50th time in a friendly international against Argentina the following month.
The 2006 fifa world cup in Germany was when David proved his critics wrong with a deflected goal against Paraguay and a stunning free kick against Ecuador which were both match winners. England met Portugal again in the quarter final this time in the world cup. He got injured half way in the second half. England lost on the penalty shoot out again.
After the world cup David beckham made a decision to step down as captain of England and then was completely dropped by the new manager Steve maclaren

My overall opinion
Overall I think that he in a good player with excellent quality .
Advantages: English superstar player. Disadvantages: Not too bright, annoying wife, constant harassment.
David Beckham is probably our biggest icon. He's England's most prized footballer, he's one half of Britain's most famous showbiz couple, he's a doting father and his hairstyles are recreated up and down the country. And his appeal has helped companies everywhere to promote their wares.
It is almost impossible to go anywhere these days without seeing Beckham's image on a poster, billboard, magazine or newspaper. He is the face of Police sunglasses, ... ...their own little version of David Beckham. We do all the work, we can project on to him our fantasies. Even now, he still only really talks about football, he doesn't give his own views so this in turn intrigues both the public and the media who have now elevated him to his current worshipped status.
No other athlete has been as famous in history as Beckham is now - he even reached the top 15 in the most 100 famous britons of all time list which ...

But unlike Man Utd, I do not hate David Beckham, I respect them both and admire him and his wife for what they have to stand up to. Man Utd are a football club and football is a game, it may stir up raw emotions of excessive swings, but it’s still a game, so hating them is OK. Hating a human being is not something you should be proud of. Manchester United doesn’t have feelings, but David Beckham does.

If I'm perfectly honest I couldn't care less about DavidBeckham. Okay he lives with his wife in their own little fantasy world, they court publicity one minute and then complain the next. The one thing I don't understand is the stick that he gets, he's a decent player and apart from his childish tantrums he normally plays well for England.
If he got abuse for his football skills, his strange voice or choice of clothing fair enough but to have a go at his wife and child is out of order, no wonder he retaliates.
