Advantages: Easy to install with a little help from guy on phone at D Link Disadvantages: Instruction manual not very helpful
...Bought this item cheaper in currys and came with wireless adapter which was very good value for money. Instruction manual not much cop as only took you through the first two stages of installation though guy on phone at DLink really helpful and talked us through it. Very easy to instal and installed in about 15 mins. Had been looking for a wireless router as just changed over to Virgin Media from Sky and had never heard of DLink (bought for the price) but very happy with product and would definitely buy DLink again, desktop and laptop now wireless, also happy with speed though don't know if this has anything to do with the router or if computer would be that speed anyway. Would definitely recommend though....

...The D-Link 805TP is a great hub to use if you have very little desk space available, and need to network up to 5 workstations together either in a workgroup or a LAN environment. The Hub has 5 LED lights on (5th port is the uplink port to connect to your local LAN if you desire). The remaining 4 ports have UTP connections with corresponding LED's. Power is drawn from a AC/DC jack plug transformer. Great value annd a great buy! If you need a hub then this is the one to buy!...

Advantages: Good Speed *** Linux Support Disadvantages: installation
...After some adds of the 108Mbps capabilities of the DWL-G650 and DWL-520 cards I decided to buy one.
Unlucky me! I received the DWL-G650+ and DWL-520+. Apparently, these are the versions D-Link reserves for out-side the US. Trying to upgrade to 108Mbps as promised in the adds was unsuccessful. I didn't even find any info on the G650+ cards on the .COM website. Mails to D-Link remained unanswered. After some research in the newsgroups, I found out the following :
The DWL-G650+ and DWL-520+ are using a different chipset than the G650 (the "+" is very important). You will not find this info on the D-Link website because the "+" has two major implications :
1:because the G650+ uses a cheaper chipset (Motorola) it has currently no 108Mbps support as its bigger brother does (G650, no "+").
2:because of this chipset it has a very poor...

This is a wireless network router whih you can use with either a cable modem or a DSL modem. I've owned mine for ages - it orginally cost me £76 and, though that's quite a lot compared to some routers, this one is really powerful and I guess you get what more
