...this is relevent because this D-Link adapter is surprisingly one of the few 3rd party wifi adapters which work with both Windows XP and Mac OS X.
Aesthetically its a grey block, about 1cm deep and 5cm long, so quite a chunky little package, which has led to it hitting things when moved and led to the adapter becoming bent, although surprisingly resiliant to break and is still fully functional.
