The DCM-200 provides customers with high-speed access to the Internet through the cable TV (CATV) network. It works on any cable system that complies with MCNS DOCSIS specifications and provides a high-bandwidth connection to the Internet. It can download Web pages almost instantly, transfers files at exceptionally fast speeds, and delivers real-time video and music with unsurpassed quality. The DCM-200 modem digitizes data and sends it over the cable at up to 10.2 Mbps and can receive transmissions at up to 42.88 Mbps. To give you an idea of just how fast this is, digitized television quality video and audio are transmitted together at about 3 Mbps. The DCM-200 includes both a USB cable interface and a standard RJ-45 port for a 10BaseT connection to a computer or computer network. When properly configured these connections allow simultaneous data transfers to an existing IP data network or the Internet via the cable company's network.
Advantages: Easy to set up and use, Stable, Good support Disadvantages: A bit out dated
...times it's been unstable is when the wireless router / Access Point isn't working properly.
Transfer rates, as expected are not as fast as when using a wired connection (using Cat5 network cable). On my 2Mbit ADSL connection (capable of up to 230KB/s), speeds typically start off between 100-200KB/s but seem to start to drop to around 90KB/s. This is while the laptop is about 50cm from my router so it's nothing to do with distance or obstructions. It's not top speed but it's still pretty quick.
It does exactly what it's supposed to and does it well. It's easy to use as once set up, you just connect to your network or Internet as usual, just without wires.
SUPPORT

Advantages: Saves you money, quick transfer from one device to another... Disadvantages: None till now...
...I think this is the tinniest product I ever reviewed…but being so useful to me I thought I'll write some words about it.
D-Link DBT-122 USB Bluetooth Adapter it is a very helpful tool for those people who'd like to transfer some files from one machine to another. Me I use it to transfer mp3 music from my PC to my telephone.
I bought this small item from www.expansys.com.cy and I paid for it only £12, a bit expensive but what's cheap today?
It came in a very big box (I really don't understand why it has to be so big) which had inside:
- The USB Bluetooth Adapter
- CD-ROM
- USB extension cable
- User Manual
Driver Installation
After you get everything out from the box, the first thing you have to do - as I did - is to insert the CD in your CD-ROM Drive and to follow the steps which will appear on your...

Advantages: Wireless N technology is good for speed and data throughput... Disadvantages: ...but if the adapter keeps dropping out (like this one does) then it is useless
...my net experience.
So...that's alright then. I need not have kept rebooting. All I had to do was pull.... what? You mean that's not a design feature? Ok. In that case it is not up to the job - I want reliability…not a lack of ability.
I summarise the D-Link DWA-140 as follows:
D-Links Woeful Adaptor
Dodgy Wireless Ability
Doesn't Work Always
Dis Was Awful
Don't Want Another
Don't Waste Any (money on this adapter)
Recommend it? That will be a 'No', then
ps I researched the drop out problem on the internet - apparently it is well known so I am not alone in this - you have been warned!!...
