The D-Link DWL-G650+ is a PCMCIA wireless (WiFi) card, which plugs into an available PCMCIA slot on a laptop. With this card, it wireless-enables a laptop, assuming it doesn't have built-in wireless already. The card cost me about £25 at the time but you may be able to find the same one cheaper now. Most of these seem to be in this price range if not less, since they are becoming redundant with new laptops already having built-in cards. It's a 802.11G card, which means theoretically, it can transfer 54Mbits/s but they never get to that speed. Most residential broadband connections nowadays only range up to 10Mbit/s.
INSTALLATION
I find the installation of this card has always been very easy. I just install the driver and software off the CD and then plug the card in. This literally takes minutes. Only thing I'm not too keen on is ...
Advantages: Link upto 3 printers on 1 IP address. Simple setup Disadvantages: None
Where I work, we have always purchased the HP Jetdirect print server devices. However, when we bought a whole load of Magicard badge printers we found out after several painful days that these only worked with the D-link DP300u print servers due to some strange setting within the printer. With this information, we were forced into buying the D-link blind with no time to do any background research or fact finding.
The D-link is a 3 port print server, 2 ports are serial with the other being USB. This means that upto 3 printers can be attached to the print server at any one time. At the time we bought them, they were around £80 each.
--Whats in the box--
The D-link print server comes in a very compact box with just enough room for the components. There is the print server itself which is nicely designed to comply ...

Advantages: Robust, Reliable, Easy to configure Disadvantages: None
The D- Link DP-301U is a small compact print server that connects to your Ethernet or Fast Ethernet network. With its USB port, the DP-301U allows those on your network to access and share a USB printer no matter where they reside on the network. We use quite a lot these printer servers at work as not many of our printers do not have built in network connections an as most of our printers have USB connections we need a print server that has USB compatible.
These print servers are very easy to use, are very easy to setup and the user manual that comes with them is very easy understand and to follow. The print server is equipped with one USB version 1.1 port for a connection to most USB printers available ass most printers only support USB. The DP-301U also supports all major network operation systems and protocols. With its compact ...
