The 320T replaced a BT Voyager \ Viking 205 when I changed an smc 2804 for a d-link 655. The Voyager \ Smc combination crashed everytime we had heavy data loads (2 or more people streaming or downloading). We have 2 desktops ( 1 wired \ 1 wireless) 3 laptops (1 wired \ 2 wireless) 2 xbox 360's (1 wired \ 1 wireless) a Wii (wireless) and 3 Ds's. The 320T (and the 655) have never crashed, and handle all the connections easily). I've never had to reset either of these since they were installed, and recommend this double act to anyone who needs speed and range. In case anyone was wondering, I don't work for D-link. I'm a musician who needs upload speed to transfer songs to my music site, and range for the rare days I take my pc in the garden and get some sun !
thank for review.
I just bought a dlink 655 and was looking for a modem to suit.
dlink web site seems to recomend the dlink 300T
but poor reviews on that elsewhere put me off, but eventually found this one that must be the replacement?
was considering a linksys modem but the 310 is faster.and guess keeping both product to dlink may help with helplines etc (if any issues)
reviews of 655 on trustedreviews website suggest 11n is not good as claimed on any routher but Gigabyte ethernet does speed up transfer of data to wired pcs to up to 420mbps (on their tests) as apposed to normal 100mbps (max?)
I am also hoping for improvement of Xbox360 Live that is lagging on my current eTech routher/modem
thanks again, i hope i am as please as you seem to be with this one

Hello J \ Headcase ! To clarify the review... the only technical 'terms' I used were the model numbers of routers and modems. I'm sorry if it wasn't easy to understand. To run a broadband (fast internet) connection that can handle wired and wireless pcs (plus games systems such as xbox and playstation) you need a modem that you connect to your phone line, and a router that distributes this connection to how ever many devices need to share the service. A BT Voyager \ Viking is a modem and router in one, but it can't handle wireless connections. The Smc I mentioned is a wireless router that connects to the Voyager, and sends the connection to wired and wireless pcs. The D-link 320T is a modem that I used instead of the Voyager, as it handles higher speeds without crashing. The D-link router was chosen as it had the best range wireless signal of any wireless router at the time I bought it, and also gives maximum speed to all devices that connect to it, no matter if they're pcs or game consoles.
Hope this is less foreign than the review !
