Go Wireless with D-Link

Advantages: Easy to set up and use, Stable, Good support
Disadvantages: A bit out dated

that I think the card sticks out of the PCMCIA slot too much but that's normal for most PCMCIA cards. USING You can use the D-Link software or you can use Windows XP SP2's wireless function.. While using the XP function, I'm usually connected as soon as I've turned on my laptop so no need to choose to connect to a network. It's the same with the D-Link utility. When connected to a wireless network, the card flashes. The D-Link software lets you scan the area for wireless networks and then lets you choose which one you want to connect to. The software looks very professionally made and has information like Link Quality, Signal Strength as well as Data Rate, which is good to know so you know. The range is pretty good but it varies depending on the Access Point and the surroundings. WiFi connections don't go through thick walls ...

A wireless network for a decent price

Advantages: Very easy to set up, inexpensive
Disadvantages: Can lose signal sometimes

In my house we have two computers and a broadband internet connection, but we couldn't use both PCs on the net at once. To sort this out, I decided to set up a wireless network but was a bit worried it would be too complicated. Thankfully this network adapter proved to be very easy to use. I bought two, one for each PC. The card comes with a CD, with all the software needed on it. You have to install the software BEFORE you put in the card. Installing the software was very simple, there were no problems or errors. The PCs I was installing the cards on use Windows 98SE, and the software worked fine on it, so 2000, NT and XP users shouldn't have any difficulties. The software features a utility which sits in your system tray and allows you to easily change different settings, including encryption, and shows you signal strength ...

Review of D-Link Network adapter

Xbox 360 network Adapter

Advantages: Cute,Compact,Attachable
Disadvantages: Weak signal,Very expensive

Microsoft and their proprietary products are poor performance, and too expensive. This adapter detects the same network my pc adapter detects but only 1 bar of signal. My pc adapter has 5 bars on the network. The xbox adapter must not have an omni antenna and the gain is probably 1dbi.I tried to opened this crap and put a higher gain antenna but the connector is a sub micro connector specially made for microsoft to screw us.I still could have rigged a better antenna, but i accidentally lost an ic chip trying to pry this thing apart, now there goes 70 bucks, never again. Fortunately i discovered linksys sells a universal game adapter (part number WGA54G),the adpater is also pc compatible, why isnt the xbox adapter pc compatible?Anyway, the linksys has an omni antenna and yes its removable to get a better omni. The signal is 5 to 15 times ...

Manufacturer's product description

The DCS-3415 18x PoE Network Camera provides low noise, high-quality images displaying even the finest details. Up to 32 cameras can be monitored on a single computer screen with the D-ViewCam software (included with the product). It includes ports for connection to external devices. Equipped with an 18x optical zoom progressive scan CCD module, the camera achieves high quality real-time video compression in MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG formats. With a removable IR-cut filter, the camera always provides high-quality images either during the day or at night. It is also suitable for narrow space surveillance such as in a lift. You can activate two different video streams simultaneously and start recording audio and video when motion is detected. The file is stored on a local hard drive or NAS device. A CompactFlash card slot is also included for local storage. The camera features 3G mobile video support, enabling you to view a live video feed on any compatible 3G mobile phone or PDA anywhere. The camera complies with the 802.3af Power Over Ethernet (PoE) specification, which means you only need a single Ethernet cable connection to make it work, ideal for installation in awkward areas.
