I bought this wireless router in December to not only remove all of the cables in the living room but to share the connection on 2 laptops. The initial set up of the router caused a few problems and eventually had to set everything up manually, I found the user guide from the dlink website very helpful with sorting out the set up problems although this does give step by step instructions for various problems, I feel it is not suitable for people with little knowledge of computers. After the initial problems setting up, I have had few further problems with this product. The signal is good throughout the house and only very occasionally drops connection, although I believe this was due to the initial positioning of the router and since moving it sllightly the router has not dropped connection. The router comes with a stand to place it in a vertical position or can be laid horizontally, it also has an adjustable anntenae making it easy to place out of sight.
I purchased this product from dabs.com for around £27 plus postage. If you want to set up a simple wireless connection, and have some computer knowledge, I would definitely recommend this router.

Based on 802.11g Wi-Fi technology, it is an entry-level device ideal for a light usage of the network. Setting the router up is easy even for non-technically minded people, with D-Link Click'n Connect: run directly from the product CD-ROM, this wizard takes you through an interactive step-by-step guide that will get you on-line in a matter of minutes. A powerful dual firewall (SPI and NAT) prevents Denial of Service (DoS) attacks and attempts to breach your network from the Internet. You can also define a list of allowed sites to restrict web access during certain periods. With Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), you do not have to memorize complicated passwords and key them in several times. Just press the button on the side of the router, then click from within your adapter's utility software to make the pair automatically generate the necessary wireless network name (SSID) and encryption keys.
