Advantages: Outstanding Reacher novel from Lee Child
Disadvantages: Not the best book in the Reacher series but still a fantastic read

Jack owns and carries nothing, he has never met a woman who said no or a case he couldn't solve. ...that's what the sleave says and they aren't wrong. This is another cracking read from English author Child, which will take the leading character, Jack Reacher, from New York to England. Child never fails to deliver and this is an oustandingly written story that will please both fans of his previous work and those who are new to the character. The book contains the macho attitude and attention to detail you'd expect from a Child book along with the many plot twists that will make you want to finish it in one sitting. Advantages: classic, great picture of teenage life
Disadvantages: very short

...Salinger marvellously creates a picture of teenage frustration and rebellion in The Catcher in the Rye. The main figure, Holden Caulfield, if a disaffected American private school kid that decides that everyone and everything is 'phoney'. He runs to New York City where he gets up to all sorts of things, from meeting his kid sister to his old teacher and girlfriend. He plans to run away to live out West, like his big brother. It is a great picture of disaffection which I found I could relate to as easily today as any other such book, which is suprising considering it was written in the 1950s!... Read review

Advantages: Ive read the previous two!
Disadvantages: Thought it may be the same as the other two!

...I've read shopaholic daydream world...,shopaholic abroad and shopaholic ties the knot! All three are fab! All start at the usual paperback price of £6.99 and available from all good book shops. I totally couldn't put any of these books down once I had started them. They are brilliant. Sophie Kinsella has a great style of writing that has you giggling to yourself when reading these books. Funny and quite gripping, very hard to put down once you have started. They tell the story of rebecca bloomwood and shes mad on shopping....a bit of an addiction I'd say but as us girlys know it's easy to get carried away with our hard earned cash. She really does live a secret life with her shopping addiction. Shopaholic carries on from the previous two novels and Rebecca is now settled in New York. She flies back to England for her best mate... Read review
