...I'm not saying my old camera was ancient, but it was made of wood. Actually it wasn't quite that bad - it was just that every time I took a photo it made a big clunk and whirring sound, as you could hear it struggling to advance the film. Whenever I went into Boots I saw these lovely little silver cameras all reasonably priced, so I decided to buy one so that I would be less embarrassed taking snaps on my next holiday.
I finally settled for the Fujifilm Nexia 220ix, which cost a bargainiferous £50 from Dixons. It weighs in at 193g - this is about the same weight as a normal-sized tube of tomato puree (I have checked!). As you can see from the picture it is silver and looks quite nice.
The main difference of this camera over my last one is that it has Advanced Photo System (APS). This means that loading the film is no longer...
