Advantages: Easy to use,lots of good features, also has a child-lock. Disadvantages: none, as yet.

*One thing which I find very useful with this TV is that it has a childlock so they can't record over your favourite TV programmme which you specially recorded and will never be on again, and they can't muck up any settings you took your time to programmme in.
*It also has a timer which you can set if you want to record at the same time every week which is very useful if you are penchant to forgetting to watch a program which is on every week at the same time, or it starts before you get home from work, or is on when you go out to some regular evening event.
*Normally when you are recording you cannot change to a different channel to the one you are recording which is very inconvenient somtimes. But on this TV you can record on one channel and watch another at the same time.
*You can also programme the timer to record a different program on a different channel after the first has finished, which is great because then you don't have to decide which one you are going to have to miss out on or go to the hassle of getting a friend to record the other one for you.
*Auto set - sets the video automatically. Press the two buttons on the remote control as stated in the instructions. The video will be tuned to all stations and the clock set.
*On screen menu - easy to use menu for tape settings, recording etc.
*Long play and short play.
*VideoPlus - you will find VideoPlus numbers in your
*TV guide next to the relevant programmes. Programme the number into the video and it will be recorded automatically.
*PDC - if the programme you want to record starts earlier or later than billed , the video adjusts the time of start and finish automatically.
*Scart sockets on back for improved picture and sound quality on TV.
*AV inputs and outputs on front and back which are ideal for connecting Hi-Fi or camcorder etc.
*Instruction manual which is easy to follow.
