Small car... big personality!

Advantages: Cheap to run, small, looks cute!

I was pretty amazed, if I am honest, it was a bit tight but it was a shirt journey so no one minded. It has 5 doors too, which makes it easier to get in and out. pathetic

Advantages: easy to fix yourself!
Disadvantages: poor quality!

the cars handling is unbelievable. it cant go round corners at speed it under steers. iv had everything fall off the radio doesn't work my heating gets stuck on full heat it doesn't blow air by the windscreen so it fogs up on a regular basis. the paint chips far too easily. the rear window is pretty high so it makes it difficult to park. the gear ratio is very surprising, the car from stationary to first into second takes less than two seconds which ...

Secondhand Daewoo Leganza SX (W) Registered 2000

Advantages: Value, comfort, size and condition, profile of usual previous owners
Disadvantages: Lack of reputation, availibility and cost of spares, a bit thirsty

December (2008) we urgently needed an honest car for under £1.000 GBP. This is actually harder than it sounds and was made much easier when we found a Leganza SX registered in 2000 with relatively low mileage of 62k. The book price for a private sale is ridiculous at £500-£600 and these are actually changing hands at about £995 with service history. In practice few other small or medium sized cars that are half decent can be found under £950,in ...

With a little more time or money we could have found a CDX at this price, however the SX (base model) we bought is still well equipped compared to mainstream models and we are pleased with it. Not as good as you would think

Advantages: cheap, agile
Disadvantages: HIGH fuel consumption, heavy gearbox & steering

I happen to own this car (the GLE) and I can say i'm fairly pleased with it. As i'm from Romania, it cannot be said that it's the same as UK :)).
