Advantages: Cost ... All in one package!
Disadvantages: Its not a Sony lol!

...This release from Daewoo that contains everything you need for modern viewing in one smart box! The DRVT43 comes with a DVD player which is also a DVD-RW, a VCr, and comes with built in freeview... A lot of bit considering you can find them online for £150! And even bettter considering a Sony DVD-RW will set you back more than this whole package! The DVD player will play all dics apart from DivX (which is a format mainly used online anyway) so theres no worry about buying that dodgy copy from a friend and it not working (not that im condoning that sort of behaviour lol)!!! If you hav a surround sound system at home this is compatible with that but a seperate amp will be needed--- theres normally one of those in your existing system anyway :D For £150 I dont think you can go wrong, its cheap, its compact and its ready... ...I bought a road angel navigator 6000 a little over a year ago now, i got it second hand for £50 as it had no sd card that contain the maps included, i was quite happy as my friend had one of these with the sd card so i figured i could just make a copy of his card, insert it and away i go. This is what i did and hey presto off we go no problem at all. To be honest i don't actually find the 6000 to bad although i notice a few people have come up with some horror stories regards the software not giving them the correct information. Its a simple basic machine that does what it says it does. I have used it on several occassions when travelling round glasgow, edinburgh and birmingham and find it to be of satisfactory use. Ok so there are a few bad points to it but you almost come to expect this with everything in this day and age... Read review

Advantages: Great value for money

...As someone who lives a busy life i feel that paying a monthly fee for Sky, NTL etc is not worth my while as i watch very little TV. As a result i decided a one of payment for Freeview to be my best option. I bought my Daewoo freeview box in Tesco's for £49.95 about a year and a half ago now and have been very happy with my purchase. The box was incredibly easy to set up, via connection through a scart cable. Within ten minutes of opening the packaging my freeview box was up and running after following the on-screen instructions. The selection of channels on the freeview service is enough for my needs. Amongst others you get BBC3 & 4, ITV2 & 3, three 24 hour news channels, 2 childrens channels, 2 music channels, several shopping channels and almost every radio station possible.
