Welcome to my review for the Daihatsu Move SGX.
If you're wondering why i am able to write reviews on so many different cars, its simple......
Ciao suggests being factual, so i'll use headings, and be as easy to understand as possible.
ReliabilitySafety
The Move is well specced with ABS and airbags. However, it is a tall and short vehicle and can feel a bit topply when attacking corners with gusto. Its really a case of accepting that its no Golf GTI, and realising that it is actually quite a capable wee car.
Comfort
Bearing in mind that the Move is a small, cheap car, it is suprisingly comfortable. The cabin is light and airy, and fairly well screwed together (see reliability). This car, however, is not really suitable for frequent long distance motorway journeys-The engine and wind noise can get rather tiresome.
Customer Service
I have only ever experienced these cars in an employment capacity, so cant really comment on their dealers.
Features/Fuel Consumption
Because the daihatsu brand is not too popular, they have a tendancy to make their vehicles high specced to increase sales.Certainly the Move is no exception-power windows, power steering, air con, central locking and ABS are all standard.
Only real problem is the depreciation-its high! This ,however is good for 2nd hand buyers as there are bargains to be had!
The engine is extremely frugal and can easily achieve 50mpg on a run.

Hey, nice matiz comment!! My other half also worked for Daewoo and he hated the things too...try selling them! It also seemed that their customers were as bad as the cars...he once had a customer return a Matiz because the rain came in when they opened the windows or the sunroof. They then decided to pay more money to get a used model of the same car...a real case of more money than sense!! Kat xxx
