Im not sure what person would buy one of these. To the untrained eye they look sporty hence the name but to everyone else it is a box ugly motor with big alloys and bull bars to make it look hard. Interior is typicaly japan.....very cheap and plasticy and the switch by the hand brake isnt electric windows its to open the boot, no gadgets in here. The most common misconception about this type of veichle is that they are very spacious. Wrong. With the back seats up you have less luggage space than a metro. Daihatsu Sportrak EFI Petrol Bought this car 4 years back as needed a cheap 4x4 for taking things around. The ride is hugely bumpy, the only reason i put up with it is because i am too young to choose what i want yet. The back is hard work to take off by yourself but the front roof bit is easy. Inside is cheap japanese plastic as you would expect but it is all still working. Do beware that this thing drinks petrol in huge lumps, especially if you have a heavy foot like i do. Not very fast, but not meant to be.Ride somewhat choppy due to being short wheel base but thats what they are designed for! Although does have 3 stage damper settings to pick from. Not as lively as my Vitara , but feels really strong and robust. Early models had square headlights, later had more rounded type, personally I think the later models looked a bit wet from the front. Power stering light, essential if got/fitting larger alloys.Engine is 1.6 injection and lively enough. Reliable if serviced regularly, parts not too bad but loads of second hand stuff available now.
