Review of Survivor Panama - Dan Waddell by Simmer

Advantages: well written, detailed account of the series
Disadvantages: some of the blurb is slightly misleading

...of the show, to allow the public to interact with the contestants. And then it started - twelve contestants were sttranded on a remote desert island - and for weeks the public watched as Jonny Gibb and Susannah Moffat voted off the other contestants, making their way to the final two. The final vote was no surprise - Jonny won the £1 million prize (although I reside in the 'Susannah should have won because she played a better game' camp), and his life changed forever. Survivor: Panama still didn't manage to pull in too many viewers, but it did do better than the previous series, and at least that's something. And a good reality TV show always has a book to accompany it, and I'm here to tell you about the official companion to Survivor 2. ~*~ WHAT IT PROMISES 'Survivor: Panama' by Dan Waddell promises to relive the whole of Survivor 2... Watch your honey, Mummy
Review of Yum, Yum, Yummy - Martin Waddell by anjib

Advantages: good simple text, easy to follow for early readers, follows Early Years foundation work, funny illustrations and a story that children can identify with
Disadvantages: none

...Yum, Yum, Yummy, is a hardback book from the Walker Books range. The Author is Martin Waddell and is illustrated by John Bendall-Brunello. It is the story of mummy bear who sends her cubs to the honey-bee tree to collect a pot of honey each. But... beware little cubs, hiding behind the tree is Greedy Guzzly Bear - He's big and he's scary and he's after their honey. The little bear cubs run home to mummy crying because he's eaten their honey. Next time mummy bear sends her cubs for honey she lies in wait for Greedy Guzzly Bear and she is bigger and more frightening than her. He never bothers her cubs again. What I like about the story is that there is only about 4 lines of text to each page and thick, black bold print is used. My 4 year old son choose this story for himself from the library (he's 4). My first thoughts were... Read review
