Its another dance mat game, you can buy it for around £30 with the mat or £18 without, i believe any other PS2 mat will work fine with it tough.

Having played another dance mat game at a friends house a few times before, I was looking to get one for myself. If you haven't used a dance mat before, they're really good fun, basically you pick the music and the game brings up dance moves on the screen. Its nothing complicated just; forward, back, left ... ...Thats was great about dance factory, your choice of songs is as big as your cd collection. The game does come with 5 built in tracks which is fine but insert your own cd and it reads the song and makes dance moves for it. You can do a whole album or just song by song. It even works with CDR and CDRW's so you can use all of your downloaded music to. To scan and make dance moves for a whole cd it only takes about 5 minutes, and there's a little game ...

Return to factory Review ofDance Factory & Dance Mat Bundle (PS2)by
Luvlylana
Advantages: Might keep you occupied for a while Disadvantages: You will only be occupied with it because of loading times
I found Dance Factory to be an absolutely dull and useless game. I bought it early last year, hoping to finally be able to play tracks that I was interested in listening to, rather than the awful cheese that is usually supplied with a dance game. Although this is a feature, it takes ages for your song to load, so if you haven't already lost interest by the time it has finally loaded, you end up disappointed at the lack of correlation between the ... ...a challenge!).
I bought Dance Factory as a stand-alone game, rather than as part of a bundle with a dance mat. Had I bought the bundle, I would have been even more disappointed due to the amount of money I would have paid out for it - even the addition dance mat probably would not have consolled me.
So all in all, I would not recommend this game to anyone, unless you found it at a car boot sale or in a bargain bin at a very low price. It will not ...

Advantages: Can use your own CDs Disadvantages: Doesn't have some common dance mat features
...is one of many available dance mat games. Basically, the idea is that music plays on screen, and arrows show up on screen corresponding to the foot you should use in order to 'dance' to the song. It takes a while to get used to, but can be very addictive.
The main motivation for me buying this dance mat was the fact that you could use your own CDs. Most dance mats have a limited number of songs, and therefore it can quickly become quite repetitive ... ...So I decided to purchase dance factory. To be honest, I don't think I really expected it to be as good as it was advertised. i assumed the arrows wouldn't fit with the music or something, as I didn't see how it could work. However, with most songs the arrows do in fact fit very nicely, making the songs generally easy to dance to.
Just like most dance mat games you can choose from three different difficultly levels. However, a dissadvantage with ...

Advantages: Can dance to any tune Disadvantages: graphics are rubbish
...and my own personal favourite, dance uk. Then I got bored of doing the same old dances to the same old tunes, so I decided to invest in a ps2 specifically to buy this game (Dec 2007, way behind the rest of the population).
The game itself is a dance game that creates moves to any cd that you want to dance to. There are 3 levels of difficulty, although the easy option is a total waste of time. Some songs create enough complex moves on the normal ... ...few comments that said the dance steps didn't match the rhythm of the music - fortunately this is NOT true. You have to find tunes that have a good beat, but most dance music fits the bill.
The game says it works best if you put a proper cd in, not one that has been recorded. I found that if I put a recorded cd in, it works fine, it's just a little quieter, and it's good to be able to compile a list of songs that you like and want to dance to. I ...

I will begin by not going into too much detail as to how I came about watching this DVD but I will say that I was at a hen party and copious amounts of alcohol were involved.
