If anybody tells you that playstations are bad for your health - NOT If You Own A Dance Mat they aren't!!!

If you haven't played on a dancemat yet - then you don't know what you're missing!! Such fun, excitement, laughter and FITNESS all in one go!!

~~~~~~~~Whats a dance mat?~~~~~~~~~

Dance Mats are arcade games and playstation games.

The Dancing Stage Euromix is the 'game' in which you will need to work alongside a dance mat.

~~~~~~~~How does it work?~~~~~~~~~~

You choose the song that you would like to dance along to and the arrows on the screen will light up to indicate that you must step on that arrow, it helps to have co-ordination as it does go along with the beat of the music!! (It somewhat reminds me of the old fashioned 'Twister' and yes you can get just as 'twisted' playing this!!) The object of the game is to complete the level and get a high combo score!

~~~~~~~~~Whats a Combo?~~~~~~~~~~

A Combo is calculated on the amount of dance steps you get correct in an ongoing sequence - so if your combo is 45 you've just stepped on the last 45 arrows correctly!! But be careful if you miss too many steps you will fail the level.

~~~~~~~~~How many players?~~~~~~~

You can have either 1 or 2 players, so if you have 2 dance mats this allows you to plug in both mats at the same time - this is great fun if you're having a party !! Its not always easy with somebody dancing beside you because if they go wrong its very easy for the other person to go wrong also!!! But its good fun to see who can dance and who can't - or who thought they could!!!

~~~~~~~~Arcade Version?~~~~~~~~~~~

Arcade version is just as it would be if you played it in the Arcade - you have 3 songs to choose and at the end you're Combo score is added up.

~~~~~~~~~Lesson Mode?~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is the best place to start if you haven't played the game before as it shows you how to play, different steps and you can practice a certain song.

~~~~~~~~~Workout Mode?~~~~~~~~~~~

This is actually my favourite mode - you can choose form various levels - the songs are generally a bit more up tempo and the steps a bit quicker. At the end of each song it tells you how many calories you have burned - keep going and do a whole hour - cheaper than going to aerobics and you can do it to the music of your choice!

A few of my favourites are Video Killed The Radio Star, Word Up and Mumbo Macho.

~~~~~~~~Difficulty?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The are 3 stages of difficulty Beginner, Advanced and Intermediate - believe me you have to be good to complete some of the Intermediates (well some of the Advanced too at that!!).

I love the graphics some of the characters are really funny to watch. But sometimes they can get in the way of seeing where the arrows are going!

I believe it to be really good value for money - staring around £18.99. Its definately a game you will want to play for ages.
