Sparklehorse

Advantages: Atmospheric and chilled out
Disadvantages: Some weaker songs in the album

Sparklehorse are a band that I had never hear of, and to be honest the name put me off ? however one day I heard one of their songs playing and it really intrigued me into listening to some more of their work. I have since bought two of their albums: ?Good Morning Spider? and ?Dreamt for Years in the Belly of a Mountain?. ~~The Band Sparklehorse is made up of the main guy Mark Linkous along with some of his friends. The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul - Good Read

Advantages: Lots of Comedy, Characters well writeen
Disadvantages: i`d love to read more

Set in modern day England, with all its trappings of modern life the book follows the lives of Dirk Gently and Kate Schechter, as they both embark on separate quests; Dirk as a private detective and after failing his latest client, now deceased in a bizarre and impossible suicide begins to link together otherwise seemingly unrelated events that leads him to make ...

The Dark Forest of the Soul (In a Dark Wood - Marcel Moring)

Advantages: original, clever, meaninful, deep, occasionally funny
Disadvantages: gimmicky, demanding, pretentious

the brim with drunken bikers and spectators, although flashbacks (and flashbacks within flashbacks too) abound. Throughout that night, throughout a town that became a peep-show and a nightmarish dream, from bar to bar, from the funfair to the electric bull, and into the woods that weave through the town and surround it, wanders Marcus Kolpa who has returned to find his lost first love, Jacob's daughter, Chaja. And so does wander Jacob, possibly dead or possibly alive, led by a mysterious figure, mystical and profane both; a pedlar calling himself the Jew of Assen. "In a Dark Wood" is a rich novel, overflowing with phantasmagoric imagery, dream and hallucinatory sequences and abundant symbolism. Inter-textual references recur throughout the text (with the Divine Comedy and Ulysses being the two most clearly identifiable reference ...
