Dr Corrie Dalton thought it would be a good idea to throw an end of term party for her
six summer class students.She may have thought differently had she known they would
find her Ouija board and get it into there heads to play it.
Reguardless of her caution they decide to try it out anyway and summon the spirit of
Butler who claims that it can lead them to hidden treasure.After leading them to some cash
stuffed down the back of the sofa they ... ...Before they can go any further they are interrupted by the doorbell.It's Chad the brother of
Corries deceased husband she hasn't seen since he left without a word several years
earlier.The students leave so Corrie and Chad can catch up (and catch up they do!!!) but
not before they steal the board so they can claim the treasure Butler claims is in the
mountains.

Advantages: Always engrossing and suspenseful Disadvantages: Perhaps lacks the bite of Laymon's very best.
Darkness, Tell Us is slightly above average for a Richard Laymon book, but never quite reaches the standard of his very best novels. It has a lot in common with Dark Mountain, but improves on that novel in most departments, and is never dull. It's the story of a group of students who receive a message via a Ouija board, and set off into the mountains in search of treasure promised to them by the spirit.
