Advantages: Fantastic, Chilling Plot Disadvantages: Couldn't put it down!
...This book intrigued my when I was walking round the book store, the title seems to just grab you straight away, i read the first page and was hooked, so i bought it!
Anyway the story's is about Camac Remei who goes to live with his Uncle Theo in the City so he can learn to become a gangster, all sorts of twists and turns occur all through the story.
As the story progresses the tone gets darker and darker, its is incredibly chilling, but an incredible read you can't put down at the same time
This is the first book in the City Trilogy by DarrenO'Shaugnessy...

Advantages: Marvellous storyline, gripping and thrilling Disadvantages: Could of been better descriptions
...next. I thought that this style of writing was very unique and clever to do, because I wouldn't of finished reading without knowing the reason for what happened in the prologue. - If that made any sense, lol.
Tunnels of Blood is a horror story, there's no doubt about that. But within the story there are some romantic parts, such as when Darren and Debbie go on their first date, and there was a lot of suspense and action. The book leads you to believe that someone or something is the killer, and that certain people may have died, when in fact the book has some mysterious twists.
Darren Shan's real name is DarrenO'Shaughnessy, which is a bit of a mouthful, so I can see why he shortened it down. He has been writing books ever since the age of 14, and now he has sold more than 10 million books! The Saga of Darren Shan are children's books...

The book is part of a series called The Darren Shan saga, in which a teenage boy has his life changed forever when after attending an illegal freak show, he steals an amazing spider, which belongs to a real-life vampire, Mr. Crepsley. When his friend gets bitten by this spider, he is forced to trade the rest of his life so that his friend can continue his, when he agrees to fake his own death, flee from his family and become a half-vampire in order to get the cure for the bite for his friend.
